Greetings to all fellow players of Arachnaea Server,

The reason I am writing this currently is to express my own Beliefs in the server,
as you all know, couple of our guilds are moving out of Arachnaea to Dragonfall, Personally I wish them the very best.

True, currently Arachnaea is low on population, but that does not mean it won't increase.

First of all, like I said earlier, I wish the best for the guilds and players transfering to another server, hopefully they will have a better gaming experience to whichever server they heading to.

Second, I dare say myself as a casual player, that Since Headstart I have found my home in Arachanaea, through hell and high water I will be part of it, I firmly believe Tera is still in his early stages as an MMO, Sooner or later we will get more and more players!

I know the upcoming release of GW2 WILL AGAIN affect the population in all servers of TERA,
but don't panic, like I said, it is just a matter of time!

I would like to inspire people to not give up on this Server, of course its an individual freedom to decide to stay or go,

But as we all know.. Rome wasn't built in one day! To all others players that feel the same and will stay, planting seeds and harvesting them in the near future is a wise move for us casual players, true we might not be much of a competition to players who wish to be the very best, but we in our own pace aim for the same goal as well.

Some of us want to run straight ahead non stop, hitting top asap,
others enjoy step by step, sight seeing, admiring the graphics,
after all each of us have our own likes and dislikes,

Don't be discouraged due to the fact players are transferring, stand strong and keep your hopes up!! ^^

Arachnae is my first server ever since I started this game. I won't leave this server, ever. Even if it's empty, I'm going to stay. The friends I made are here too. I can't see myself on any other server than this. I'm not playing this game for the competition but for fun. :3

I for one started on Arach during the betas. Fell in love with the game. I brought a lot of friends into the game, on Arach. I know that I will not leave. Myself, and the Sept of the New Ways, will stand strong through the storm and brave the worst and emerge on the other side, stronger then before. Let's all stand strong together as a community, as friends and work to make our home better.

As an addition to M's post, a bunch of GM's are getting together and seeing what we can do as we're getting zero response from enmasse. I want this server to live! The people are fantastic, and we have the potential to become a great community. I ask you all give us a month's time to try to work this out and not transfer to dragonfall like the rest of the sheep are doing. If you have any ideas feel free to contribute here. I know a lot of you feel like Arachnea is home, and I want to protect it if I can.

Been in Arachnaea since CBT1, I don't want to move and I'll only move as a last resort.

I stand by Mkaiser and Aira-- my guild and I will remain here for as long as we possibly can. Arachnaea is our home and we will continue to try and positively impact the server.

question: if your friends/guild members transfer with you, whats the negative side to going to dragonfall? Upon entering dragonfall I received a bunch of whispers from forum arachnaea players who recognized me and quickly added me to their friends list - which in a day is now full again.

Are the guild leaders more interested in leading a guild/running for vanarch or do they truly have the interests of their guild members in mind? have they asked their guilds about transferring or even brought it up?

remember its still the same game, with the same areas and the same mobs. Just more people.

(NOTE: i said MORE people, not DIFFERENT people as again there are many former arachnaea people there and you guys are probably pugging with dragonfall in dungeons anyway XD)

2-Regarding what the Guild leaders are worried, you don't seem to even have the slightest idea of how worried they are, we have had several meetings discussing in ways to increase the population, also FYI, running Vanarch-Ship is very tiring, We do it for the Community, if there is no Vanarch the shops will close until next vanarch IIRC, taxes set 1 the gold income is minimal, farming POLICY POINTS is a pain in the [filtered], we all sacrificing for the whole server, no personal gain there, i can give up the VANARCH HONOR STEED any day to get myself working on my endgame gear.

3- Each player has their own likes and dislkes, we just want to stay here where we started, Some on the other hand wanted to transfer, that is their freedom, their choice, all cool with it ~

In my case, I would not have your experience since there is a Vae Victis on Dragonfall and I'm sure there must be an Amira, so my guild and I would both have to give up our identities which, in an MMO, is a painful thing to do. Your case in that regard is a lucky exception, not everyone will be in that boat.

Additionally, not everyone has left for Dragonfall or plans to. I would still be leaving behind a plethora of friends and relationships which i don't want to lose.

I indeed do have an open forum discussion ongoing about this matter with my guild members. We are currently very split. This is a hard decision to make and really, it's not one we should have to make.

In MMOs, settling on a server, feeling comfortable, and building a strong reputation on a server are all really important to me, it's actually a huge part of the game for me. I find that you are simplifying it by saying it's still the same game, just more populated because I don't agree. There are nuances that won't be there, it'll be largely a different world because of how effected I am by the social aspect of the game.

Your questions revolve around the idea that everyone you want to move with you will move with you and for me, I have so many friends that that's implausable. There will still be folks missing and strangers in their place and that hurts my game experience.

Anyway, we have all said in the various goodbye threads etc that we understand why people would move. We acknowledge there are tons of positives to moving to Dragonfall and for some guilds it is 100% the right decision. I just don't believe everyone's situation is the same and you can't assume that either.
