What games have you played?

As the thread title states, I think it’d be nice to know the gaming background you guys playing in our awesome server have. The reason for it, it’s because we might of played together or against each other in a different game and we aren’t aware of it :P

Please! I beg you; keep this thread clean, civil, and trolling free.

I think a format for this thread would be nice such as: game – type of game – class – longevity- reason you stop playing it.

The Mmos that I have played are:

Florensia (f2p) Gladiator. 1 year – this was my first mmo, I beat almost everyone in my server, ran out of content, and rl needed more time, so I left.

Vindictus (f2p) Fiona (knight) 4 months – I played this one with my current girlfriend, we ran out of content.

Aion (p2p) Templar – Cleric (Vaziel) 1 year, 2 months : I played this one for a long time, we met some awesome people here! ( most of them are going to play Tera now =D) I quit cos it got boring and being a Templar and cleric made other people zerg the hell out of me all the damn time and I raged soooooo hard! Seriously that game brought out the worse out of me. If you would of hear me after I got kill, you’d of probably think I was the most horrible person that have ever set foot on earth, I’m telling you it was really bad, some people thought it was funny :P

Diablo 1- 2 (p2p) 2 years: I love hack and slash games! It was awesome while it lasted, got bored XD

FFXIV (p2p) Warrior - 3 months : I love the FF series, but this game was such a disappointment, the retainers were awful, the game play was alright, so was the community but it just felt so dull, I couldn’t make myself play any longer after that. I heard that they are gonna patch it soon, I might give it a try again once is release for the ps3!

Currently playing Trine 2 with my girlfriend while we wait for Tera!

What about you guys? What mmos have you played, what are you currently playing or what game(s) are you looking forward to?

Hmmm Well I've played a lot of Free MMO's over the years off and on to qwell boredem, touched FFXIV while it was free for awhile, but most I played Final Fantasy Xi for 10 years off and on. My last character, before everything got way too easy (I would consider FFXI an extremely hardcore MMO Pre-Abyssea expansions)

Final Fantasy XI (P2P) - 50 Warrior, 95 White Mage, 95 Black Mage, 95 Thief, 95 Samurai, 95 Ninja, 95 Scholar, along with various other jobs at differnt levels ^^.

Mostly quit because one day my computer overheated and died, and by the time I got my new one, I figured 10 years was enough, and decided to try something in the new generation of games!

Good idea, Neo! I haven't been playing MMOs as long as some peeps for sure, but whenever I'm lacking a strong MMO to hold my attention, I tend to jump around trying different F2P games, so I'm gonna cut down my list a bit... Here I go!:

Ragnarok Online (Private Servers)
Duration: Probably more than a year total, but it's hard to tell as I've played on and off for the past 8 years
Class: Tried them all, but my main is usually either a SinX or Lord Knight
Reason for stopping: Different reasons for different servers, but the first time I quit it was because it was sucking up too much of my time. Every quit after that has been due to the game not having that same "magic" it had the first time.

WoW (p2p)
Duration: 2.5 years
Class: Paladin in TBC/WotLK, Rogue in Cata
Reason for stopping: Most of my friends quit, and my guild dissolved after being stuck on Black Temple (lol). Like RO, I have tried picking up the game again since I quit, but it's just not the same anymore.

Aion (p2p)
Duration: 6-7 months
Class: Gladiator
Reason for stopping: Twink rapeage and the grind got to be too much for my friends and I. Also, kinah inflation was ridiculous because of the gold spammers.

Warhammer Online (p2p, back then)
Duration: 3 months?
Class: Warrior Priest
Reason for stopping: T4 RvR Grinding... actually, to be truthful I think it was the T3 Tor Anroc grind that killed it for me... playing the same damn BG over and over and over because it was the most efficient and nobody every queued up for anything else. Urgh!

Phantasy Star Universe (and PSO) (p2p)
Duration: 6+ months
Class: Wartecher
Reason for stopping: Mission grinding got stale, and friends stopped.

FFXI (p2p)
Duration: 1 month?
Class: Thief (was working toward Ninja)
Reason for stopping: I found the gameplay really dry and unenjoyable. Same goes for:

FFXIV: (p2p/f2p)
Duration: 1 month
Class: Lancer/Marauder

Rift (p2p)
Duration: 1 week (lol)
Class: Assassin (whatever they were called in that game)
Reason for stopping: I.. made a mistake buying it, as I thought I'd have a friend to play with. I never really saw him on because of our timezone difference, and the game itself didn't hold my interest. Definite buyer's remorse.

Other games would include Eden Eternal, Requiem Bloodymare, Cabal Online, Perfect World, Dragon Nest, Dragonica, Elsword... most of them I didn't play for long though. I usually gravitate toward paladin-type classes, though recently I've tried out some thief classes too.

I guess we are sticking to MMOs? It would be a very long list otherwise.

Ragnarok Online
Lord of the Rings Online
World of Warcraft
Aion
Allods
Rift
Everquest
Everquest II
Pirates of the Caribbean Online
Spiral Knights
Dofus
Dungeons and Dragons Online
Final Fantasy XI
Flyff
Guild Wars
Mabinogi
Rappelz
Silk Road
Phantasy Star Universe
The Failure Ragnarok Online 2 <--being remade.
Vindictus

Probably some other F2P games.

I mostly play ranged characters such as Archers. I sometimes play melee which varies and it also depended on how fun each class was in a game. I left a lot of MMOs because there is always a lack of gameplay. This is either lack of combat, lack of crafting, lack of a world. It is common that an MMO is created and given a great combat system but then the world is never really developed and it becomes lackluster. I loved LOTRO and I still wish to play it but the combat system leaves me wanting ever since I played much faster paced and fluid games. I still play RO occasionally as it is just way too fun and awesome looking. Tera actually appeals to me because it reminds me a lot of Ragnarok.

Yeah my list of MMOs is enormous:

1. WoW

Ok, so my definition of enormous might be different from yours.

I don't count the month and a half of Aion, that might as well have not existed to me.

Aion - 8 months - Assassin - forgot what server

I tried out Rift, i personally didn't like the game.

Diablo of course lol.

Started my online gaming with Monster Hunter on the ps2. Clocked in so many hours in that game lol, Went to WoW When it launched cause all my MH friends decided to go there. Played till end of BC, Did almost everything there is to do in that game so I got bored.

Played Warhammer for a few months, after that I just stopped playing MMOs in general, But played the PSP Monster Hunter games and Monster Hunter Tri but it was such a let down and many console games that had online play. After playing an mmo for so long its hard to play anything by yourself. However I still enjoy playing JRPGs and survival horror games.

The first RPG game I have played is Diablo II, but I started in the mmo world with Knight Online using nicknames like Karazu and Solid, and then I followed with:

Silkroad online (2 1/2 years)
World of Warcraft (private server)
Aion (chinese one)
Florensia (f2p)
Holy Beast (3 weeks)
Iris online (2 months)
Cabal (3 months)
Grand Fantasia (4 months)
Cardmoon (2 months)
Forsaken World (2 months)
FFXIV (when was free)
Vindictus (stopped because the IP restriction)
Rift (1 month)
Elsword (2 months)
DC Universe (2 months)
Dragon Nest SEA (stopped because the lag)
Eden Eternal (2 months)
Crime Inc. (5 months)
Crimecraft (4 months around 3 months ago)

And a few more that I cant remember right now. I pick archer class more often, but I have tried classes like Berserker or Slayer too.
