We've held events every Friday night since release. The nature of the event always changes, based on the current server situation (first week was duels/recruitment since the game was still newish, next week was a play-made quest and GvG emphasis to bring high and low levels together for an activity that they could both potentially do, and this week... well, vanarch wars right after voting opened seemed like a good idea ;P ).
We don't have any special claim on creating events though. If others want to do it, awesome! But I know a lot of winning guilds will probably be farming policy points during our regular events, so there will be something different... ;)

Not really, Dengar isn't hosting an event, it's a Holiday weekend, and contrary to the claims of your guild - I am quite active. Additionally, I'm not running for Vanarch.
