B.C. Political Weekly

I started doing a weekly column on www.Tera-Junkies.com to offer my thoughts about Vanarch related matters. The column is intended to have general appeal, but also to reference very heavilly the community on Basilisk Crag. I do not intend to use the article for to pursue any in game agenda or to make any guilds on B.C. look bad. My goal is to make all guilds that I reference look good. Tell me how I did:

You're pushing me to make my post sooner that I would've liked by discussing things I PM'd prior to the release of the column.

Sorry this is a completely one-sided, baseless glorification of what really happened between 3 zerg guilds who have around 40 members each and losing to much smaller guilds of 10-15 who didn't have any ties to each other until the Zergs started "bullying" them.

But good job, you made everyone look good even when they're not.

Seeing how every one of the players from our side that I talked to, said that I was too generous to the folks on the other side (i.e. you), I think I probably struck the appropriate balance. When no one is happy, I achieved my goal of impartiality (while admittedly glorifying the Nexus event on behalf of both sides to present a positive image of the server).

Make it sound like Nagafen did everything, if anything it was Divine who caused most of the PvP, you did nothing until the final day.

Even then it was divine who fueled the fire for that final day, all this self promotion of yourself is getting old.

I'm guessing you are not in Rising Phoenix. Our two guilds have fought almost every nexus for the last 3 weeks.

I am actually, but you said you initiated GvG with Reckless to get them to PvP then basically stated that started the whole PvP scene, when it was Divine who in a GvG with revolt/reckless and then proceeded to beat them in a giant 30v30 war that really fueled the fire.

Also it was point of interest and ourselves GvGin you two fridays ago to keep you out of the Nexus that caused you and Divine to retaliate the following week, even though you got the better of us on Saturday.

I suspect that the reason you are reading the article the way you are is because you already don't like us, which is fine. Read the article again, but this time keep in mind that we are trying to write an entertaining piece on the Vanarch system for people not on Basilisk Crag.

The article was about alliances. It was about how Nagafen picked its original alliance partners and then later left its existing alliance with Ravenwood and Citadel, perhaps to its own detriment in the next election, because we wanted to align ourselves with more active PvPers on a server that needed it. It's hard to disagree with that.

And if you look at the part of the article where we first talk about joining Divine's alliance, I don't think I could have been more clear in the way it went down:

I - view
We began alliance discussions with two new guilds, TERArists and Divine, both much, much more active PvP guilds on the server that had the need for a third guild that shared similar motives for both the guild and the server as a whole.

Said differently, the article wasn't about Nagafen leading the way. It was about Nagafen taking a personal chance to promote something good for the server. That was the "lesson" in the article.
