Casual players don't have the time to devote to being the best they can be and playing hardcore like some other people. There's nothing wrong with that, they have lives. Some players have more time to devote to their characters and more time playing tends to make people better (practice makes perfect, right?). That's not to say those that play less can't do the same when given the time. But would it not also be an insult to say the more hardcore are not better than those that play less? Because if the casual can achieve the same level of play with less time put in, than you're basically saying all the more hardcore players just suck. It's like calling them the kid in school who has to study twice as hard to get an A as the natural genius next to him. They should get some reward for all the time put in, and that tends to mean two things - better gear and better player.

The gear issue I think is dumb, but that is also why I'm going to play GW2. I detest grinding for gear and would rather my skill determine whether I wine or lose. You guys are free to join me and I'm still a newb in that game so who knows, you may just kick my [filtered].

Maybe its just me but it seems like nutmonkey has a habit of way over exaggerating what some one says and getting all buttsore about it.

Leiloni was simply stating how three specific guilds recruited members. From the wording of his post, we don't even know if he was a member of those guilds at all. I believe his intent was to make a point about the criteria of what counts as a "zerg guild", not to insult casual players.

Well there were a lot more guilds than those 3, I just used them as an example. But yes I was previously in Chaotica in beta and the first few weeks the game came out before they fell apart. Also I'd just like to point out that I posted that 3 pages ago and we're still discussing it lol. O.o
