I understand what you are saying. I just don't care, and I don't think most of the server does either. As far as I am concerned they could actually be making a profit, rolling it up and smoking it or using the extra money to bathe in or frittle it away on pleasurable e-company.

My only point was it just seems like too much effort to keep track of and expect to held accountable for such a low percentage. Now I agree. 15%!?!?! Yeah maybe a little explaining might be needed as to why I don't have open vendors and services for the province.

I get what you are trying to do. However as an outsider reading these walls of text it is easy to just get lost and lose interest over things that are not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I just think if you are going to put forth the effort to hold a politicians foot to the fire it should be over something that the community as a whole actually care about. Like how you mentioned MF used the system to double vote and then leave Ostgarath in utter shambles. Every time I am in cutthroat harbor or Castanica I am reminded of how crappy it is that I don't have a specialty store and more importantly how and why it happened.

So another Vanarch wants to raise the tax 2%. Big deal. By comparison is it really affecting players all that much? It just seems like those who care about that little of a tax difference think the extra money is going to E-Obama or something.

You sir, are awesome. I agree but we do have to look at all points. Most people only care about the Taxes. However, with MF screwing everyone over, they will look to Vanarchs they can trust.

I am glad this happened early in the game and we can see what guilds are willing to stay and focus on the community.

Well, I am glad you [filtered] over a community. How about next time you dont screw over an area.

It has nothing to do with the zone, it is the fact you are a douchebag that server traded votes to get elected and now you arent even doing anything.

But i am an idiot. Well for someone to not be playing, you sure are on the forums responding.

How exactly did I [filtered] over the community and screw over an area? No one in isle of dawn had specialty store or noble cleric to begin with.

Cause me quitting the game means I'm not allowed to come on and read the forums of the server I played on to see whats going on, or the general forums to see how people feel about the game, right? Right?

That is because most people DO think the money is going to E-Obama. Maybe next time people will just vote Zeroden.

You're apparently mad, and becoming increasingly erratic. Remember my earlier advice? Go collect yourself, acting like a 4channer doesn't suit you.

Additionally, as a preemptive comment, 4channers aren't trolls.

Honestly, any guild that puts taxes above 1% is greedy and does not deserve the vanarch position *Especially in a lvl 60 zone*. I know it costs 3000 gold just to run, and many use this as an excuse to up the tax rate to break even. It is not hard to scrape up 3k gold, even if your guild only has 10 active members. Your entire guild gets that shiny flashy mount, and you get your guild emblem flashed across peoples screen whenever they run around YOUR zone. That in itself is worth the 3k entrance fee. I understand that some guilds run events, and prizes can be costly, but deal with it. If you said you would run events in your province, then do it. You didn't have to promise to do that and are under no obligation to, so don't pass the fees onto people who are traveling through your zone.

If you promise 1% tax, then you stand a chance of winning my vote.

What about the time it takes to camp spawn points for Vanarch specific quests? Do you even know how it works being a Vanarch?

3k fee is worth chat privleages for 1 person, and a mount that is barely faster? Sounds pretty dumb to me.

What about all the time it takes trying to build alliances to secure zones?

Some zones are earning under 100g a day. How is that worth it? 2100 gold. So you are down 900g, You get a mount that is not much faster, and you have to hear people [filtered] about services not being turned on.

You spend time on a daily basis checking for special spawns that may or may not be up, when you could be in a Dungeon getting more enchant fodder.

Plus, this is about making money. The default was set at 5% You were fine with paying higher prices before. You still used the services. Don't like it? Burn a scroll, sell somewhere else, and waste your time, like you have no problem wasting Vanarch guilds time to turn all the stuf fon you want.

I just hope with the new updates it will prevent what MF did to the castanic area happen again. Thats not working as intended.

Also if something like that does happen again, GMs should have the ability to give power to the runner up.

Highly doubtful. I sure hope they can fix something like guilds being inactive as well. Or let the server vote them out if they arent being active.
