UPDATE: I am now running for Northern Shara, specifically the Lorcada region. Please look for my name on voting day in this area! Thanks!

Greetings,

Sarvoth here, announcing my intent on running for vanarch in the Northern Shara region. I preferably would like to get Lorcada, but we love all the parishes in Northern Shara.

As you all know, I am the community site owner and leader of www.basiliskcrag.com. My goal has always been to better our community and gaming environment for Basilisk Crag. My policies as vanarch will reflect that. My guild, Crucible, will take care of our region to ensure that it is a safe environment for leveling and best as possible. We will have low taxes, and money we receive will be spent on event rewards. For example, team based bracket style tournaments where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will win the majority of taxes collected at the end of my term.

I will of course fight to continue my term by working to serve area visitors to ensure a good leveling experience.

A little about me, you know I run the community site and am the GM of Cruicble, but I am also a long term MMO player. I have been playing MMOs since AOL's Neverwinter Nights and Imagination Network's Shadow of Yserbius. I later moved onto Dark Sun Online, Ultima Online and beyond. I have lead long term guilds both hardcore, casual, pvp and pve centric. I was a main tank for the Tankspot guild Eventide and involved in other world first guilds.

I hope I have earned your vote and am given the opportunity to serve you. I am looking forward to the election. Please remember to vote for Sarvoth for Vanarch for the Northern Shara region!

Thanks!

I like the idea of bracket-style tournaments. That sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

I know it'd be a bit in the future, but what are your thoughts so far on allowing/disallowing consumables for such a tournament?

Thanks for the support!

I am hoping that PvP gear will be officially released by the time a tournie is ran, but I am not 100% decided on this, but I would probably allow the use of health pots of both kinds, but that would be it most likely. That decision would not come from just me, but probably via a vote of all registered participants to the event in some manner or not.

Thanks for the question :)

Also, I would use my community site to not only report on all the regions, but it will be my personal avenue of communication for Val Aureum.

Team-based is a good way to go, imho. There are many people who play support classes and might not enjoy 1v1 as much as the chance to work in a team.

Kinda sad that the only vanarch threads that get bumped are the ones full of drama and trolls.

Sarvoth, you've done a lot for the community in BC and are the only candidate I really see myself standing behind at this point. Best of luck to ya.

Thanks guys.

I have decided with my guild to change directions and to run for office in Northern Shara. Specifically, the Lorcada region. We feel this is the best decision for us and the community. My policies will remain the same and I will continue my plans for rewarding all players via events and rewards hosted by myself, my guild, and the community website.

Thanks again for the support!

Eternitea of Crucible here!

If Sarv is elected as vanarch for Northern Shara I know myself and the rest of the crew will be working diligently to complete as many vanarch quests as possible. We all know how important certain vendors can be while questing, so keeping these NPCs available for leveling alts and new faces is a high priority.

Plus I'm one of those crazy people who doesn't mind pumping up the jams and grinding mobs, so if that is one way to get more policy points I'll be there!

I was a frequent streamer or Tera during the first 2 weeks the game went live, but due to finals, moving, and a new job I haven't had a chance to. Around election time I will be available to stream again and if Sarv is elected you can give live input to Sarv, myself, and the guild on our policies, as well as seeing vanarch quest bosses demolished!

Vote Sarvoth for vanarch of Northern Shara!
