As the topic says, when playing my Gunner, I went through all my Chained Skills and removed each. I do this because I use the F key to chain skills, as well as pickup items and talk to NPCs, etc.

As a Gunner my skills keep chaining together, in and out of combat, for no particular reason. Scattershot chains into Arc Bomb, If Arc Bomb's on CD, it chains into Rolling Reload, etc.

Please fix this as soon as possible. I like to manually do my skill chains, and if I need/want an automatic popup chain like that, I'll use the Chained Skills option (That's what it's for) so I don't need this automatic chaining that literally is mostly just an annoyance.

Unfortunately, there are hard coded chains in the game that the player cannot edit. This is the intended functionality.

As you have noticed, Scattershot has five priority hard coded chains.

Following skills have hard-coded chain skills associated with them:

• Arcane Barrage: Replenishment
• Rolling Reload: Scattershot
• Scattershot: (in order of priority) Arc Bomb, Arcane Barrage, Time Bomb, Rolling Reload, and Replenishment
• Point Blank: (in order of priority) Arc Bomb, and Scattershot
• Replenishment: (in order of priority) Arcane Barrage, and Scattershot

I can't say I'm pleased with that, but thank you for answering. I just don't particularly see the point of allowing people custom chains if there exists hard-coded ones that we can't edit at all.

No kidding. Seems ridiculous.

Gunner is not the only class that has hard coded chains. Others have them as well. Gunner just has more so you probably noticed.

Really it's hard-coded? Strange enough for me that i'm able to initiate point blank + mana missiles after several combos.. This seems to be like a bug to me instead..

And don't mind i saying this but it's kind of lame to be able to insert trigger skills if the skill is already been "hard-coded" .. What's the use of it?

I can't say I understand why there are "invisible" hardcoded chains along side a system that allows user designed skill chains. It's always kinda bothered me. I want total freedom when designing my rotation.

With the reaper, we noticed BHS (the developer) was taking a very aggressive approach with hard coded chains. It's their design decision.

If you guys aren't happy about the design please be vocal (constructively) about it. Let us hear your thoughts. We can then consolidate your concerns and ideas and present them to the developer.

BUT, don't do it here in this thread. This is a bug forum and not for design discussion. Go start a new thread in the general forums and ask for Treeshark to stop by for a discussion.

Oh...and did I mention you should be constructive with your criticism?

I'm having a problem with this also. I set scattershot to combo into rolling reload but it keeps comboing Arc bomb.

Is there anything I can do here or am I going to have to adapt my skill rotation?

I actually like the hard coding on scattershot because it seems there is no other way to make a spell combo with two other spells I just wonder if I could maybe change the order.

As long as the player-set chains override the hard-coded ones, I don't see the problem. Otherwise it's a case of the devs trying to tell the players how to play the class rather than letting them figure it out themselves.
