Yea this is a bit unexpected...

GMs keep leaving and transferring power. I think the longest standing ones left are Constantine, Yumie and Loli, plus a few others.

I know I'm not going anywhere; no other game really pleases me like Tera atm.

My interest in the game fell through the roof like a 20 ton steel ball. I hated to do it though bc I LOVE the people I have met and my guild, but just lost all interest in logging in anymore. I keep contact with everyone still on mumble, FB server page, and our guild website so I am not gone from social contact.

You don't have to have an "evil" guild to play the part of the antagonist. An opposing view is all you need. The RP volunteers for the event could even play like NPC's and treat these events as quest with minor rewords.

You can message Lie or Dumplings if there is anything Snuggles can do. I know we have a few members who would enjoy the events. I also think this is a great idea for the server.

The foundation behind this is somewhat solid and the explanation here is much better than the one in game, as they sounded like 2 completely different systems.

Some things to keep in mind however.
**God Moding can not happen on either side - The heroes can't magically stop the Villain flat in seconds, because then the entire event would have been pointless and a waste of time.

**You should never have to have Vanarch consent to have an RP event.. EVER. You need to reword that to maybe say. "it would be Idea to run the event by the Vanarch so that they can help you out using the announcement system etc." But saying they must have Vanarch consent is both conceded and out of line. So fix your wording before people take it that way, as I'm sure it's not meant to be taken that way.

**Many people are seeing this as certain guilds just trying to thrust themselves into the lime light, I will not mention names as I am not trying to start anything. So to prevent this, instead of looking for a Villainous guild, perhaps have a Russian roulette of Antagonist and Protagonists. This way it's never the same heroes and Villains thrust into the lime light, plus you get more creative and original stories based in the Grey as well as the Black and the White.

**Last thing to consider, and this one is for the Vanarchs. Do Not abuse this, this tool is not here for people you like or dislike, this is for the betterment of the community, as it's been advertised so let's keep it at just that, these events are to not advance your popularity etc. They are to advanced server story.

So all in all good Idea, please don't take anything I've said as an attack I know I come off extremely blunt on forums. I'm just airing my mind on the subject not attacking anyone.

Oh one last thing: I've heard of this refereed to as "Lore of the Server". The name sounds way to pretentious. How about calling it. "The Story So Far..." This sounds more inviting and less matter of fact, and most likely something more people would embrace, rather than having "The Lore of the Server" forced on them, however most people are curious to find out "The Story So Far..."

Just keep these things in mind.

My offer still stands if anyone is interested. If not, I shall retire for now and let the cliques have at it.

Have you also proposed your idea to the Co7 or reached out to other guild leaders and such via messages or enjin? Collaborating with them could result in them briefing their guild members, and it might even spread.

Unseelie Court isn't quite evil unless the pay is extremely good! We are the group you call in for difficult jobs, need someone killed that no one else can touch? We can do it for you, need some dirt on your opponent for the next Vanarch election..for the right price we can come through!

For those interested in hiring us contact a member of the Court and we can talk.

Or we have a forum:forums,unseeliecourt.co

Agree completely with this post. If the idea is abused to play favoritism and to put certain groups into the spotlight over and over, it won't really promote RP except among the elite cliques that our server has. If you're going to play goodguys vs badguys we need to make sure it's in a way where everyone who wants to be involved, can be.

The asking permission thing really need to be elaborated on. I've RPed on a lot of communities that take this stance, and I've watched how quickly a scene falls apart because everything has to be put on hold so people can get permission, and then you run into the issue of 'what if that person isn't on to grant it?' It becomes an annoyance for those who don't have a big social circle to reach out and know who to grab onto if a Vanarch isn't on, etc.

Not to mention the best RPs happen when they aren't planned. Just go out and do something, let the scene take your characters where they want to go. The only consent going on should be between those involved in the RP. Besides, while Vanarchs are leaders amongst the people, they aren't EME and shouldn't have the power to decide what can and can't be RPed out, even in a wide scale...

I mean, this isn't highschool, you don't have to make sure the 'cool kids' are okay with what you do or face social outcasting, right? =P
