That isn't effectively true, nor would it be realistic. What my friend is saying is that it would better to remain an environment where comments such as what they may share are acceptable. Having that standard of maturity, enough to warn before one joins, is far more mature than what you seem to believe.
Then how is it adult if you act like sick little children? O_o That's what I meant by oxymoron, though double standard is probably a better word. An actual adult wouldn't stoop to such crass jumper or language, FYI.

Just because somebody is an adult in age doesn't mean they are obligated to act like the adults of the past few generations. Those are the adults who didn't use the internet in the first place. The world is changing and people need to stop being so ignorant. I support ya Revaro.

Haha, alrighty! Fair enough ^^. Oh, and I had to go out for supervisor stuff, checking on people. So I missed the beginning of head start, just was able to play about 5 hours later.

By the sounds of it, it would appear the guild promotes perverted, vulgar and crude language. If not, their advertiser wouldn't be saying things such as "...little ones getting their minds scarred...", "Adult", & "warped sense of humor."
For the record, the Rules of Conduct posted by En Masse clearly state that such language is not wanted in public chat channels in-game. So since that type of language is not tolerated in-game, I wouldn't go advertising it as a perk for joining a guild.
The Area chat channel has a difficult time being moderated as it is without others encouraging immature behavior. (Which by the way En Masse specifically labels that kind of language as anything but 'Adult.')

On a brighter note, if the guild plans to be a contribution to the RP server (since it is a RP server afterall) then I hope their recruiting goes well.

And the main reason that we ask for adults only is because of our warped sense of humor (as pointed out in my first post). Don't want the little ones getting their minds scarred, do we?

Well, if you actually look at the area chat in CH, you would notice that nobody in our guild would participate in that kind of behavior in Area chat, or any other public channel for that matter. We know that there is a time and a place for everything, and what our guild offers is a place for people to have fun. We don't actually promote that kind of stuff like what you claim. It's just a free environment for everyone in the guild.
Think of it like a lounge where everyone can just hang out, relax, have a few beers, crack some jokes, and let off some steam, all in good nature. They can do what they want, and not have to worry about others judging them. People don't have to worry about the crazy social ettiquette, as long as they're in that place. We just don't want people coming in, over-reacting to whatever antics we might pull off, and running out spreading a bad name about us being 'immature'. Thats why we try to warn people about it before-hand.
Now, I probably should have worded it differently on my previous posts. In retrospect, maybe not the best choice of words. But the intent was to discourage people who might not think it's for them, because chances are it isn't. I would wish those people well, but at the same time I don't want them to feel uncomfortable in our guild. I hope you now understand what we're going for, and if you have any questions, please feel free to send me a messege!

Are people REALLY getting hurt over how a guild acts behind guild doors with language? If it's not your cup of tea, don't join it. Simple. Guild chat isn't public, so your point is mute Czanrei.
