I Played almost every waking hour this weekend and asked myself this evening--What do i honestly think about the Server and its people soo far? What do you all feel soo far? here are my experiences--some good--some bad ( I will use no character names or guild names in my accounts)

1. For the most part Everyone seemed in a great mood to be playing with the exception of a few trolls

2. Had a couple times where i ran into some sweet people who i played "No you take it !" with

3. Also ran into some disapointing groups of guilded players who were not so kind.

4. Last day of beta a nice group of guilded people offered me into thier group to kill the crab bam.

All in all my experiences were more often good than bad--and i met some really great people this weekend--what about you?

I agree with you for the most part but,

1: To many people attacking others for LFG in area chat(not everyone played during closed beta)

2: Way to many trolls for an RP server, but that's to be expected.

3: Lots of great in server groups during BoL, had a few that were from Dragonfall and Basilisk Crag that weren't as friendly.

4: Way to much talk about WoW.

5: Each class that I tried was very fun and some were quite helpful on giving me tips on classes like Warrior and Slayer.

I had some a mix of good and bad experiences, but I have those with every game I play. I like to find players who have similar mindsets like me and don't let anyone else bring me down. all in all I had a blast and glad I pre-ordered the CE.

I agree with both posts, I just turned off area chat because of this. I am not sure why people talk about that game in EVERY mmo I've played.

My fiance commented on how friendly the server was compared the communities we encountered from SWTOR. I didn't read chat much to form an opinion but from the few individuals I did meet it's been a positive experience. Even had a random priest come up and heal me while I was fighting a BAM. Was unneeded but was nice nonetheless.
I imagine the server's community will clean up a bit more once all of the non-subs bugger off.

The server is slightly friendlier, and definitely has less gold spammers (yes already) than the other servers that I've tried out during beta.

The people are alot nicer and more mature, except for a few trolls:

1) people who like to critique/moan/complain/put down tera, or like praising wow/d3/guild wars and think they're so important that everyone wants to listen to them over area chat. GTFO of area chat, and just private chat with each other instead, retards.

2) moralfegs who like to complain about characters being childish looking or barely clothed and think that everyone wants to listen to them over area chat. GTFO of area chat, and private chat with each other instead. Or alt +f4 and go pick up a freaking bible.

My experience on Topaz:

Met a neat person that I could consider a good friend, both ICly and OOCly.

Enjoyed a variety of BAMs and instances across the Oblivion Woods, Celestial Hills, and the areas north of Pora Elinu. Snagged a bunch of cool armor and learned the basics of healing and buffing groups. I even learned how to stop the final boss in SM from calling adds.

The roleplay wasn't everywhere of course, but it often happened, especially in Velika. I also roleplayed with my new friend in a few other areas too, such as while helping hiim with basalisks. Overall, I felt I was able to develop my character well and can play them well now. I only met one person that didn't at least respect the roleplay, and they ran off soon after and weren't griefing.

I only turned on area chat to get groups for BAM quests. I used the LFD tool for instances (although I went with another roleplayer I met the last time). Let's face it, guys. Area chat is garbage unless you need something from it, especially if you are roleplaying. When I took Topaz IC, I shut it off.

Some minor annoyance with chat and not being able to see friendly health bars, but those were gameplay issues and I know Enmasse will at least fix the chat bugs since chat is important to every player.

My experience was good for the most part, and I think we have a shot at a great RP community. Thank you Sigue and Loncer for giving me a chance to flesh out Topaz's personality. I roleplayed with others too, but I met every other person only once. My friends list ended at about 7 people, and I didn't add any of them myself.

Topaz doesn't have a guild yet, but I wasn't trying to get one this time around. I'll get one when I find a group that is a good fit, and not a moment sooner.

Yep, you're the only group I've actually considered yet, but I only met you. I should meet some of the other members before I decide. Going to take a look at the site.

I had a lot of fun during the OBT; had some really great parties that I played with, and met a lot of players. I didn't have any problem with stingy looters or the like, except for once. Overall I was pretty impressed by the community as a whole, and was glad to see some player driven events taking place throughout the weekend. The only small complaint I have is that there could be more interaction between people when waiting around at dungeons; there were a few nice surprise RP sessions sitting around camp fires, but over all it seemed like most of the people there were asleep.

Also, more people at the training grounds would be nice! Got to keep those PvP skills in shape!

It was still Open Beta, i'd imagine it to be shaping up even better at release.
