"What the - Titan's be damned! -" *a loud crash can be heard outside followed by a slew of profane remarks* "Who the hell put that there?!"
*slams the house door open, head held high with eyes shut and nose up to the sky sniffing the air, a nearly empty bottle of fire whiskey in hand, and the remaining strands of one of the house banners, still connected to the building, wrapped around his chest*
"I know that smell anywhere!"
*stumbles into the room, paying no heed to anyone else in the hall and making his way straight for Darcey's pot ... all the while, what was left of the house banner began ripping away from the wall*

*Large wooden doors open with a loud creak, staying partly ajar as Amberlena pushes them, a large fireplace built into the stone wall is on her left as she enters, the fire roaring, the warmth can be felt on your face as you walk by, ahead of her against the far back wall is the tavern's bar, above it a crest built into the wooden beam hangs, a wisened old gent stands there ready to take orders for the taverns ale and wines, he nods to the Lady of the House. Smiling, she looks upwards and around the room, the banners of her family, vivid blues and greys, the symbol and crest of her family and of all that served under the flags of her family, casters, fighters, and even the spirits of the woods all fought together as one against the Argons. Grey and blue tapestries cover just enough of the stone walls to keep the cold out, the floor harsh and scuffed, thick wooden planks cut from the trees surrounding the estate, large stained wooden tables fill the room, with benches placed near or under them for people to sit, candles flickering on the tabletops casting dancing shadows that play with the light of the fire against the walls. Walking up to the gent she orders a wine and takes it to a table in the corner of the room, her back to the wall so she can see people coming and going, placing her wine on the table, she sets her staff against the wall, lowering her hood down she lets her hair fall around in waves of ebony, the light of the candles catching her steel blue eyes as she looks around the room before sitting down at the table, grabbing her goblet of wine she takes a sip, placing the wine down she picks up the lute that was against the wall. smiling she starts to play a song a haunting melody fills the tavern, her voice soft and lilting joins in with the tune she plucks on the lute..*

"That.. would be excellent my friend."
Duffy unceremoniously slumps next to Darcey, leaning his head against the stone, closing his eyes and taking in the warmth emanating from the firepit, reminiscent of his voyage to Velika and the many bone chilling night at sea where good company and Darcey's stew were the only thing upholding his spirits.

Blood of giants. Blood of war and destruction. The books of lore say that the Baraka have lost their taste for battle and only seek knowledge. I wish that were true. Through the haze of battle, I find wisdom. Through blood, enlightenment. The world is a fragile scale, and cannot have peace without war. Knowledge without trial and tribulation. Good without evil. One might say I must force the demons out of my soul. I say they are there for a reason.

Itremore placed her hand on the door but did not push it open, instead she waited a moment. She could hear an abundance of sounds coming from within. There were voices, some soft, others booming. Music was playing softly, and she thought she might have heard a voice, even softer, behind the music. "This is where I was told I'd find her," she said to herself, hoping the information she had received was valid, otherwise she'd be down a piece of gold. She walked in.

A moment passed as her eyes adjusted to the dimness of the tavern, candles were everywhere, the light given off by them gentle and sweet. Itremore looked the room over, left to right, front to back. There was an older gentleman serving out drinks at the bar, but she had no time for such. She was needed elsewhere, but she would not leave the city without finding the lady she sought. There was an overwhelming amount of people enjoying themselves in the tavern this evening. Laughter was in the air, bottles of ale clanked together, and even a shady looking fellow approached her, took a glance at her lance, and walked away as quickly as he had come. "I don't think she's here," she thought, then her eyes went to a corner of the room, and there she spotted the one she came to see.

She'd been told her name was Amberlena, and that she was leader to a group known as the Legacy of Velik. Itremore approached the table, she took no time in doing so, not wanting to seem as a threat to the lady had she approached slowly or warily. "Greetings to you, Lady Amberlena," she bowed formally, "I have heard a many great thing about you and yours, too many to make mention of unless we'd see ourselves here in this tavern until dawn. I've come to make an introduction. I am called Itremore, one of those that bears the lance as protector of the land. I know not what is in store for me, but here I am traveling the world to seek out those with like interests. For perhaps one day I shall wish to call your cause my own."

"Thank you for your time, perhaps we may see each other again soon," she bowed once more, "farewell Lady Amberlena." With that she took her leave, turning the way she'd came, and exiting the tavern.

*looks up as she is spoken too, never missing a note as she played, her singing coming to a close. Taking in the woman's words she nods her head and looks to the others that stand around the grand fire and then back to the woman.*

"Perhaps m'lady, you would like to speak with some of the men before you leave...or if you so desire, I could perhaps answer any questions you have of my house...?"

*Amberlena's eyes follow the woman as she turns and starts to leave, hearing Darcey she simply waits to see what the woman's next move would be.*
