Can guilds in the RP server declare war with each other?

I hadn't heard anything about a ranked battleground system. You are correct, though, that GvG will not be part of PVE servers since it requires OWPVP to work.

Will RPPvPers never find true love?

Feels like we get the short end of the stick in all games. RPers cry over everything, PvEers are just... talk talk talk and PvPers are rage rage rage... What about us RPPvPers? We want to immerse ourselves in the rich RP only WAR can bring! We want to RP and fight other RPers! Not trolling PvPers and not the lame scripted NPC monsters with no cunning!

But alas... there is but a handful of us RPPvPers out there... We are such a minority we don't even get recognized enough to get our own server...

I think the battlegrounds is tied into the political system though I don't think it's pure GvG.

We either already can declare war or will be able to soon. Also, you are still able to flag yourself on PvE servers, so world PvP is not impossible.

I am almost positive you cannot. The outlaw system is a pvp server feature - once you flag yourself as an outlaw you can attack anyone which defeats the purpose of a pve server. Mass dueling is available to us, and sometime this summer, GvG will be as well.

There is another thread where we got a dev post stating that they're looking into a way of bringing GvG to PVE servers. The problem is that as it works now, you don't really get a say in participating if your guild declares war, I think they are trying to create an opt-in situation for those of use that are interested.

Wouldn't the opt in be something as simple as both Guild Leaders agree to it? I mean you have the choice of joining a guild that likes to fight other guilds or not.
