if you dont want people to think your guild is trash dont do douchy things like have your alt guild run for vanarach when your trying to promote how friendly your guild is and how its trying to help the community.
I echo the sentiments of ChaosChosen, I believe people should personally interact with this guild before passing judgment on them based with rumors. I was VERY impressed at how professional and well-behaved so many members of a guild were at their last Alliance meeting.

As any guild grows larger or remains in existence, the probability of having internal drama erupt or bad apples infiltrate the guild approaches 100%. But the true measure of a guild's core is what happens when said drama occurs and/or bad apples get weeded out. I've heard some rumors of people getting booted out of TED and there being some internal drama at some point, but they seem to continue to be going strong, and that alone speaks positively of them.
On the other hand, I've also seen lots of speculative hate and false rumors actively promoted about them. Is it all just politics and an attempt to gain position in the elections? Could it be people who got booted trying to get some revenge? Or is it just trolls getting their kicks and giggles?
Hard to say, but I would hope that other players would base their opinion of TED and any other guild on the server based on first-hand experience rather than potentially malicious hearsay.
On a related note, which abbreviation do you guys actually go by? TED, or ED? I don't know that I would brag about being ED...

Truth?
My first thoughts on ED we're "zerg guild, w/e". One day I had the pleasure of speaking to Arenthas 1 on 1... And I say pleasure because the man has a silver tongue (if you know what I mean). A little later, I was approached about joining an alliance.... At first I didnt think it was a good idea. I thought why would this guild want to ally with us, we have 40 active members...surely there's more to it.
Joining that alliance was the best thing I've done so far in this game. I've made so many amazing people in ED, and I truly count them all as friends. I've grouped up with Arenthas multiple times, we get in vent and he sings to me. Yes, he sings. The guy is hilarious.
After visiting the Empyrean Divine website, I was actually so impressed I switched providers and sort of copied them... sorry guys! It's just extremely well done and professional, which is exactly the attitude you get from ED in game as well. They've opened me up to RP, and we've had a blast doing it.
Don't judge a guild before you know them, ED is the best guild on CH.
