C) What Province? Essenia
Why Essenia? Besides the aesthetics of the zone we have loosely included the Goddess of Fate, Mystel, into the RP backstory of our guild.
D) Besides benefiting your guild, what can we expect from you as a Vanarch?
The main reason I am running for Vanarch is actually not to directly benefit my guild. It is just my personal nature. I enjoy helping others.
1.)
Tax Rates - These will be set at
ZERO or as low as they can possibly be set, as soon as possible I have the Policy Points to achieve this. Essenia is not an end-game zone and people will likely have little gold anyways. My guild and the members of the guild alliance I am associated with will help provide gold for re-elections. If I am unable to set all rates to zero I will donate and/or use it for our own events.
2.)
Vox Populi - The voice of the people will matter. As I said before, Essenia is not an end-game zone but it is a zone that all players have to travel to at some point. It is a slightly large zone with long paths winding through the forests. If elected I would poll the community on their preferred locations for services such as teleporters and trainers.
3.)
Clarion Call - My guild will be requested to help all of those in need that journey through our province. However, they will not be limited to this task alone. We will gladly help others in any province, no matter their guild affiliation or leadership.
These are just some of the things I'd like to achieve during my reign as Vanarch. It is a privilege to be elected by popular vote. The trust of the people must not be misused and one must not horde riches or power for themselves. This is my opinion, and I will never waver.
E) What qualifies you to be a Vanarch other than you level fast and have 3000 gold?
I suppose it is what would qualify a lot of people. I have a guild dedicated to the game and they have given me their support. I have met others in-game who have done the same. My guild might be a slightly small guild, around 70+ players(100+ characters) but never-the-less what matters is the community.
I have actually had years of experience being in political power in a game world. There is a little known game called Dark Ages run by Kru Interactive. If you are still reading I will explain the process.
After many years of playing Dark Ages I was elected by the community to become a Knight of Temuair. We were the ambassadors of the two nations of the game world. Our job was to solve disputes between both nations by taking a stance on equal and non-bias ground. We had the power to petition the game management when we did not have sufficient in-game power to solve such disputes.
To be elected a Knight one had to first fulfill two requirements, four terms as a Guard(think Police Officer) which lasted two weeks each term, and four terms as a Guard Captain(think Police Chief) which lasted two weeks each. Each term had to be campaigned for and votes collected. After I had fulfilled these requirements I was put up for Knighthood by the other Knights. The community then had a chance to vote via posting their reasons for or against. In the end there just really wasn't anything negative anyone could say about me and I was elected. I have served as a Knight for almost four years now. (There are images in my guild website gallery of my Dark Ages character and his Legend.)
As an ending comment I'd like to say that everyone on this server matters. Mutual respect for all players, be they roleplayers or not, is my philosophy. The reason I wish to be Vanarch is for the same reason I play a Priest in-game. Helping others is what I enjoy doing. Before Tera I healed in World of Warcraft for 8 years, if that gives you any kind of idea.
Thank you for your consideration!
