As a member of Vae Victis we our proud to do what we can for the community. We have enough policy points to keep everything open till the end of the this term. So I hope that everyone here will consider voting for Vae Victis when we run again and we will keep doing what we do and work to keep a great community and make our area that we control a fun area to be in! So far we have all our shops open and we still have 45,000 policy points to keep everything up!

Thank you Kitsilano for the incredible list.
As you can tell from my previous forum topic, I was disgusted by some guilds with 3-7%!!!! tax rate.
I will be using Lumbertown when I am in Arun, and Bastion when I am doing BT of course.

Sincerely,

Clis

So much for the "zerg guilds" being the ones you had to worry about.

Guilds won cause they recruited quantity not quality.. Unless EME changes the way voting works, It will be the same guilds holding positions.

My guild leader "Stormy" of Rage is currently out due to moving house, but we should have that area resolved during the weekends~

Still only have a resto cleric available.. Good thing for those people leveling through Poporia that can't train or purchase anything.

As for some of the 1% almost getting a praise on this list by being a 1 percenter.. take a look at what shops they have open. Something Terable, a guild that has been 300 since before official launch can't even open the trainers or trade brokers.

It's not difficult to get Policy Points, it takes the guild members to do specific quests, so for those who voted for the high ( self ) praised guilds cause they thought the smaller guilds couldn't offer up the shops and such, think again for next time.

You realize that Arcadia doesn't have controls for trainers or brokers, right? They're automatically on. Makes it one of the cheaper provinces to control.

Might want to go to the zone and check things out before you look stupid/ignorant.
The reason the edict tab doesn't even list those are because they're open by default since it's a low level town.
And the reason we took it wasn't because it was easy to keep up, but because we felt low level players should always have the highest quality of gameplay available to them at the lowest tax rates.
Honestly, what profit do you think we'll make from a level 10 zone at a 1% tax rate?
It was to stop douchebags from hiking up tax rates for those services.
It's hard enough saving money as a low level character without extra burdens.
Despite what you or others think, we're not out to try to ruin your gaming experience.
Even with that, we'll do what we can for the community.
We might not have flashy pvp tournaments or asinine rides from Castanica to Velika, but we'll always have the lowest tax rates.

People were informed about the tax range beforehand, so I don't get why people are acting surprised.

And you do realize 2% is what.... 20 more silver? That's half a mob. I can make that money back in the time it takes to travel to a cheaper region. As people have pointed out, you're still saving money if taxes are below 5%.

Personally, I'm not concerned about what region I should go to to spend money.

If it's only "20 more silver," then why charge it? Why does the Vanarch deserve that money as opposed keeping it in the pockets of the general population?

At the most fundamental level, 2% tax is 100% more tax than 1%. A premium is being charged to shop and use services in these non-1% provinces. Why?
