Welcome to the beginning of the political system in TERA!

Starting today, TERA players who meet certain requirements can register as candidates for vanarch. It's not always easy to convince everyone to vote for you instead of your esteemed opponents, though, so we'd like to provide you with a place to discuss your plans, make campaign promises, and show that you are the best-suited character to become a vanarch.

Think of this thread as a televised debate. Everyone's eyes are on you and they're eager to hear what you have to say. They're all waiting for you to assure them you are their champion, and that you will work to make their lives better in TERA!

So if you are a vanarch candidate on Dragonfall, give a short introduction of yourself and your vanarchy platform. Heck, start an actual debate if you like. Has another candidate said that good vanarchs should look after their guild first? State why you think that's a bad idea! Do you think declaring war against a smaller guild is great way to promote PvP? Make a stance! The people deserve to know what you believe in. If you aren't running this time, this is an excellent opportunity to find out about the candidate to make an informed choice!

Better yet, challenge the other candidates with your own questions! This is a public debate! Here are some sample questions you can use as a starting point for political discussion:

• What are your priorities for using policy points? Skill trainers? Specialty stores? Raise or lower tax rates first?
  
• What would be your agenda as a vanarch? How do you plan to enact this agenda? With force? With rewards? Will your guild members help with enforcement?
  
• How do you plan to receive feedback or questions on your rule?
  
• If a conflict arises between what's best for the province and what's best for your guild, what will you do?
  
• What makes you the best candidate?

Feel free to address other candidates directly and answer their questions, but please remember to follow the official TERA forum rules. Hello there Dragonfall! I am Nyssa, GM of Heartwood Knights a highly active guild of mostly level 45+ members and I plan on running for vanarch for Val Palrada as my first choice. I have been a long time player of MMO's since Ultima Online where I led a RPvP guild on the Great lakes server. More recently I was in Azure Skies on Antonia Bayle server in Everquest 2.

As a guild we pledge to keep the shops, trainers, and broker open to make leveling through this zone fun and helpful and keep the tax rate low. We also plan to have crafters available often to make things for those passing through with your mats. Also, we will be available to help with quests and BAM's as needed.

Hi there! My name in game is Dragonmuse! I run one of the most fun, active guilds on the Dragonfall server. We are running for Vanarch in the comming elections. We are well rounded bunch. We have people in every level range, every aspect of the game! This is who we are:





Enclave is a promising guild of gamers. Most of us come from other games such as FFXI. We love the sense of adventure and prosperity that FFXI had and are looking forward to achieving that here in Tera.

We will be joining the PVE server so that we may enjoy all the aspects of the game including, but not limited to PVP. ATM, we are mainly EST time zones, but that may change as our numbers grow.

History of the GM:

Played FFXI from NA release through ToAu and went back around Abbysea. When I orginally left the game I had done all the game had to offer up to that point. When I returned I met some amazing people again, but the game did not hold my intrest as it was far too easy to do, the challenge was gone. Ran a sucessful Linkshell on the Lakschmi server that was responsible for many server wide events including scavenger hunts and weddings.

Played World of Warcraft for several years, but again due to changes in the game, it just wasn't holding my intrest. Started when level cap was 60 and enjoyed it, then played through Cata. Again no challenge in it anymore. Created and ran a sucessful social guild called The Emerald Dream. Many friends from FFXI joined us there with a lot of our new friends made within WoW.

Played Aion and didn't really enjoy it that much. It was just a "run of the mill" game for me.

Played Rift and met some really nice people there. Got frustrated with trying to complete quests and couldn't due to always having "events" or "rifts" happening in which the npcs would run off lol. Decided it wasn't the game for me.

After Rift I have just bounced back and forth on games, just trying to fill the gap until Tera came out.

Goals for the Guild:

Mainly our goals will be achieved as they come to benefit the guild as a whole not just one or two members.
-PVP: To have organized PVP and eventually get into some GvG.
-PVE: To have several 5-man teams so that when future content is introduced we are ready willing and able to join in the fun.
-Alliances: To make friends and enjoy content the game will provide (at cheaper rates lol)
-Celebrations: Always a fun thing to do reguardless of level! Birthdays, Weddings, Retirements, Births, Divorces (lol) you name it!

Who we are looking for:

-People who love the be involved. We would like to try and recreate the real sense of community that we found in FFXI mainly. If it is true that you are only as strong as the weakest link, then we are the blacksmiths forging new links and re-inforcing the old ones until we are as strong as we can be.
-People who like stability. We suceed or fail together. Even in failure we find knowledge and in that success.
-People that aren't afraid to lead. Everyone is good at something, share yourself. You are an untapped goldmine!
-People that are driven to succeed. Driven, but not obsessed! lol
-People that know and understand RL comes before all else in game. We are comprised of parents, workers and students. Tera is not our sole investment in our future. We need to tend all aspects of our garden of life to bear the fruits of success.
-People that realize you don't have to sacrifice your humanity to be competitive. Story of Turtle and Rabbit... need I say more?
-People that know others may need to be pulled up by thier bootstraps when they are down, but not carried.

We will have a Council of Officers as our governing body. They will meet once a month for starters to discuss guild issues. There will be 7 Officers total to begin with. This is so every aspect of the game can get it's due focus and respect.

The GM will be the last and final word on things only after the council has met.
Each Officer will take turns "hosting" meetings so that it will be a shared responsibility for all.

Most recently I led Shadows Hand in SWTOR where we raided hard modes with great success.

My guild is one of the oldest running NA Tera guilds period. We where around when google searching Tera got you nothing but the porn star...yea that long. We will be around long after most guild break up and or leave the game. Lunarsky is not going anywhere. Funny thing, although a gigantic troll post, this is the most honest post in the thread. Until now...

Greetings, folks. I speak on behalf my lady, Sinndra, leader of Bloodmoon Chosen, a leader who knows the value of leaving people in peace to do as they will. Our only goal is simple: hold the vanarchy because we like the fast mounts it offers (oh, look, honesty!).

Instead of focusing on frivolous activities that don't help us govern, Bloodmoon Chosen will be focused solely on acquiring the policy points needed to activate all special NPCs, right after we drop the tax rate to lowest point it can go, at which point you'll have a hard time discerning if anyone is ruling there at all.

Why would we do this? Because let's look at reality here: no matter what type of "activities" a guild plans (contests, giveaways, etc.), the end result is going to be bucket-loads of SPAM (and drama) for the majority of the players who just want to be left in peace to level.

So again, to recap, Sinndra of Bloodmoon Chosen can and WILL do the following as soon as possible:

-Enable all specialty NPCs.

-Drop the tax level to as low as allowed by the game.

-Not insult your intelligence by trying to meddle in your leveling or spamming you with contests, instead disappearing into the woodwork and leaving your fate in your own capable hands.

So instead of trying to be "helpful" to people who don't need help, what WILL BMC be doing? Working our asses off on guild quests to keep the policy points rolling in to ensure uninterrupted up-time for all specialty NPCs and services. We will be a government that works to ensure the smooth operation of its province and doesn't try to interfere in the lives of people visiting it.

If you think we're wrong in any of our assumptions, ask yourself this: How much good does government typically do when it meddles in people's lives in real life situations?

Exactly.

hello and welcome to the Knights of Velika you might be wonder who we are or why you should vote for us rather then all this other amazing guilds on here well here a few things that will tell you why

First off we will make sure to

- Keep special vanarch merchants open.
- keep all the Trainers ready to train you
- keep the Trade Broker open 24/7 so you can buy or sell any epic loot you may want
- we will make sure to have Low taxes for the everyone who visit us we know you already got enough stuff you have to spend you money on without having to pay a huge tax on top
-we will holding all types of event pve to pvp solo to team event ranging from 100g for small event to up too 2 to 3k for Big event we will also be making a arena betting system if we are elected in as vanarch where you could come watch to brave and mighty soul duke it out and bet on who you think will win and if they do you will earn back more then what you put up <more>

we will be helping anyone that come to our land if we are not in the middle of some think
