Wow, where did you get that idea? It seems somehow identical to the event Heartwood Knights held in Poporia. A least a nod would have been nice.

A nod? I don't understand for what? I wasn't claiming it was orginal idea or that it was competing with you in any way shape, form or fashion, so not getting what your point is. You guys are not the only ones to come up with events, or even the orginal ones to host events, again not understanding what you think you are entitled to here.

I just thought it strange that it is almost an exact copy of our event. It hasn't even been 2 weeks since we held The Great Race of Poporia.
To me, if would be easy to assume that when you host an event called The Amazing Race with riddles and hints and racing 10 days after an event called The Great Race of Poporia, based on clues, hints and racing, the idea may not have come to you in a dream.
I don't really know what I expected for community events but I it wasn't a duplicate of our own event.

I guess what I was hoping for, once I pointed out that you copied our idea, was that you would step up and say something soothing like; "as a matter of fact, we did see your event and thought we'd like to try it."

I know I'm reacting emotionally to this but it was a lot of work to put the event together and to have our direct competition taking our idea and using it seems wrong to me.

Is the term The Great Race copyrighted now? There was a TV show called that and I'm pretty sure anyone is allowed to do an Event called that without asking permission from another guild that may have done the same thing. That is like saying doing Hide & Seek is stealing another guilds idea.

There's absolutely no reason to go on the offensive like this - Specially not because Enclave was one of the first guilds to do a sort of race / parade on Dragonfall.

Stop trying to cause fights and what not - this attack is about as useful as a spoon full of... let's go with salt water...

The event was not intended to offend anyone in anyway. It was simply to have fun with. Our guild has continued to give back to the community as much as we can and WILL continue to do so. We have worked hard as well to keep the events going and I feel personally that any event ANY guild hosts is a wonderful thing for the server as a whole. Not to mention we have said we have lots of events in the works MANY times. It is possible that both guilds had the idea.

Further more if anyone would like to use our ideas or concepts for events have at it! Go for it! In, fact, let me know if I can help in any way! GL to those running in Vanarch elections!

@ Sirah: I have never claimed it was orginal or that you didn't put effort into it. In fact, I haven't even said one negitive thing about it. It would be hard to do events and have each one different each and every time given the confines of the game as it is now. I assure you, after 10+ years of leading guild/clans/linkshells I have done my fair share of this type event and many others yet never once did it out of spite as you ASSUME it is done. I try really hard to focus on the positive things in game and let the negitive pass by. I do hope that you can get over the implications that you have produced. I do not see where trying to hijack a thread could possibly shed a good and caring light on your guild as you would have people believe. Enclave and more specifically me, have not stolen anything from you or yours. Please stop with the assumptions and have fun in the game!

I will give you this though, the poster (whoever created it) for your event was nice and creative!

If that's the stand you want to take, I'll go with it. It's just a coincidence that the event is identical and had no inspiration in our event at at all. Ok, I'm buying. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
All the same, I think if you put on an event and your direct competition threw the same event a week later, you'd be scratching your head a bit, too.
I didn't think it was spiteful, just not very original.

Does it really matter if someone uses one of your event ideas. Its just nice to see some of these guilds doing things for the community.
