I thought it wasn't in very good taste considering we are in direct, dynamic competition with Enclave for Poporia. I really think they should have come up with their own idea instead of piggy-backing on ours. If it was another time and another guild, I probably would have chalked it up to friendly imitation but Enclave is directly competing with us in Poporia. Nobody finds it in bad taste to clone your opponent's event?
Considering that guilds/guildmasters have very little control over what they do as far as events, games, activitiees, whatever outside of leveling and dungeons, there are going to be some remakes, rebakes, overdone and overused ideas. So, no, it doesn't bother me at all.
What will be interesting is to see how guilds adapt and and recreate ideas to come up with something innovative.
Is it a rehash...i guess so.
Is it overdone...not yet. Honestly, there are events I didn't pay attention to, simply because I didn't have the time or was busy. Some events, like PvP, I just wasn't interested in.
I think we could go around with this idea a few times (with some changes) before its done.
And just so nobody flames ahead of time, yes, I am a member of Enclave and just trying to be objective.
So I had an idea for a simular event and would be a great twist on it if you guys would be up for it. Why don't we make some guild teams up (just like in the tv show) and we can get it going that way. I would welcome people from any other guild to sit in and help organize such an event so that it could be fair to all and have a ton of fun.
I would also welcome any serious suggestions on future events. As you can see by the OP this was not something that was done for Vanarchy (as of the date on OP) or any other reason than to have a nice break from the mainstream of the game. Please let me know if you have an event idea that you would like to see happen anytime reguardless of political stance or alliance affiliation or anything else that I may have forgotten to mention lol. Our focus has been and will continue to be the community and fun of the game.

You are putting a lot of words in my mouth. I didn't say you were doing it out of spite, I didn't say I'm the only one who ever ran a similar event in another game. I asked where you got the idea. Throw whatever smoke screens you like but I thought it was a very big coincidence that you ran the exact same event as ours right after ours.
And it's not a BIG rivalry....go look at the voting interface...we are in competition...I'm being as plain as I can be. I just think you should have tried a little harder to come up with something original.
Anyway, I'm done with this topic. I feel like I've made my point.
