Oh, now I get why this Jadorvu person was freaking out in the Enclave thread. He is part of a zerg guild, so he's trying to trash anyone who opposes zerg guilds. Makes perfect sense now. Time to disregard anything that guy says.

This quote is full of ignorance... you ignore someone because they are just defending a guild and asking what we have all been asking and wanting a REAL answer not a "oh im not gonna divulge my secrets cuz my so called "self code" prevents me" its gotten to the point where its not even believable anymore :/

I really hope you answer this. How are we a zerg guild? We dont spam invite people, we dont kick people and add randoms just to get more praise, and uhh yea people come to us if they want to join. We dont actively recruit, and the few times we do we are called out on it cause apparently its bad to want a few level 60's to help out our other 60 players with more of certain classes to run dungeons. Our lower leveled guildmates have just as much importance in our guild as our level 60s level doesn't matter lol. On occasions I have encouraged the lower levels to take their time leveling due to the fact that level 60 is kind of a bore.

According to both this topic and the Enclave topic the zerg definition has changed about 4 times now and at this point I've just stopped reading, its getting ridiculous and kind of pathetic. We've also been called a "hardcore" guild so combining the apparent zerg title weve been given, with the hardcore title as well we get this idea of us spam inviting hardcore level 60 players because we "apparently" only want level 60s lmao you guys need to take a step back and just look at your arguments as a whole and youll realize how much sense you are actually making, which is none.

Agreed. No one in the Enclave thread has called anyone out by name except me. And that's only because the pro-zerg people demanded it and I don't belong to anyone so I don't give a crap what they think of me.

Dead2Rites,

I'm sorry if there has been any misinformation or confusion, but we are strictly NOT a zerg guild by any of the definitions that have been thrown around on these boards recently. You'll see in my initial post that we have quickly sought to dispel this notion, and if you ever have any questions at all, you can contact our GM, Girl, in-game.

We have a deeply rooted history in TERA, with guilds throughout both the NA and EU CBT's. Something Terable began on Serpentis Isle during NA CBT1, and the enthusiasm and curiosity of the Something Awful community led to us capping out at 300 members pretty quickly. There were also a number of non-SA members in the guild whom we met in-game, had a great time with, and admitted to the guild at their request.

We were one of the first guilds formed on Dragonfall during OBT (probably due to a combination of our enthusiasm and the initial login issues!), and we quickly neared the membership cap because we had such stunning retention from our time in CBT. Of course, membership in any guild is a constantly evolving beast, and as players end their time in TERA, it's possible to invite new members to a guild.

Given the (unfortunately) meager guild/officer controls in the game, we've decided to place all membership responsibilities with our GM, Girl. Girl is the only one who deals with membership matters, and there hasn't been a single instance brought to us in-game of any of our members spamming in-game chat nor these forums for recruitment -- it's simply not something that is done.

We don't have the room to spam recruit, and it goes against the very fundamental philosophy of our guild. Conversely, if any of our members meet someone in-game who is unguilded, and they think would be a good addition to our guild, we encourage them to bring it to Girl's attention so that we can add them to the guild, if they are interested in joining.

Again, we also consider anyone who applies in-game and also contacts Girl -- and we try to find applicants on the in-game list who we can get to know better and determine if they are a good fit. As I stated before, the in-game application list is bugged, and we can't see all of the apps, unfortunately, but we do our best to give consideration whenever possible.

And as far as SA threads go...my personal favorite was the "What tripped El Hadji Diouf?" thread, which was turned into a front page article on the main site. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to check it out -- it's highly amusing.

(Also of note, it was recently featured in an exhibition at the Museum of the Moving Image, and The Verge did a pretty cool story on the exhibition.)

Sinndra showed this to me years ago.

Someone needs to do "The Busey Bunch" (I'd do it myself but I'm laughably bad at photoshop).

Well to put it in a nutshell; Policy points = stuff a Vanarch can do in a province. IE open shops, open trainers, open portals, lowering taxes etc etc.

You earn Policy points by trading in the praise you have accumulated so far or you can do specific Vanarch quests to earn points.
