Lolwut, You seem to be missing the point actually, it was part of the discussion they had in their meetings, as well as what I heard sitting in their TS on Saturday.. obviously they aren't going to raise taxes to 10% off the bat, the idea is to get you to vote them in and slowly bring it up over time, where 4%-6% was acceptable, why not 10% right?

That's amusing, we don't use TS... so now you're caught in a complete lie. Well done!

Not a lie, an accident, you guys use mumble, I am just used to referring to voice comms as TS or Vent

Well that's convenient. You hold others accountable for your story you can't even get straight? Honestly, why should anyone believe this?

My opinions are my own and I don't represent Passion. So this isn't sanctioned criticism from Passion... but honestly, logically, you're saying your story is true but don't have the time for the technical details... I'm so dubious, esp. knowing these people. They're helpful, kind, and funny people from all of my interactions. They have been extremely helpful to me personally. Your story and even the technical details make absolutely 0 sense.

Briz, its good to know that whether you use teamspeak or mumble is at issue here and not whether what I heard was valid or not

It speaks to your credibility. If I say that I had a phone conversation with someone who does not have a phone, then you'd question my story. If I said I drove somewhere with someone who did not have a car, then there's a reason to distrust the story.

If you tell me people who I have found to be really enjoyable are doing bad things, I will doubt your story. I will also doubt you had this "conversation" if you can't even get your story straight. Sorry, it's unbelievable to me. I think pointing this out is a good thing for me to do for the community.

Its the same thing as saying "Jim just got an iPod" when jim really got a Creative MP3 Player. which is drastically different from Jim not having an MP3 player or iPod at all.

The point being that practically everyone says "ipod" because its the common thing

Its the fact that those apps are standard. We just switched to teamspeak and I still call it vent out of habit.

Weak logic, and derailing the point of the post which was about taxes, not which voice comms you use

No, sorry, the post was about a conversation about taxes. Honestly, you think TS is more common than Vent for MMO games? You think TS is to iPad as Mumble is to Creative MP3 player? So what's Ventrilo in your analogy?

And sorry your post was about some conversation you claim to have had about taxes. It's not about taxes, it's about politics. You are claiming people said things. It's important in the future to try and get as many factual, testable attributes of your stories straight before posting, in the future. I can't say that you're certainly being untruthful, but I have no reason to believe you.

If I had to hazard a guess, you're actually used to ventrilo, and remembered that Passion uses something else. The 1st thing that came to your mind was TS. Not because anyone really even uses TS any more, but it's what was in your head... so you uses that.

Exactly Briz, but TS is apparently more common than most people think, as a matter of fact I was surprised to learn just how many guilds are using TeamSpeak now.

I'm not sure, Jellad. It seems to me you want people to believe you are an irreproachable source of information but obviously you are not.

wow, I feel like I should pop some popcorn. This kind of stuff reminds me of why I didnt join a guild in the first place. I do vote though, so i am interested in some of the questions raised in the original post. it seems this discussion has strayed from that. So as an undecided voter, here are my observations and questions...

the OP simply asks three questions in that rag mag cover, and only one of them has actually been answered here.

1. Yes, Passion used exploits to get the most votes. while technically not illegal, it certainly is unsavory. Valentio seems to think it's okay though, since it's not against the ToS, and he's obviously proud of what he did, as evidenced by that arrogant, narcissistic interview he participated in. if I were him, I would have at least * tried* to seem humble; nobody likes a haughty attitude. After Eme changed the trial account rules and server transfer rules to try to prevent future exploits, it became very obvious they a) received a lot of complaints from the community about the exploits, and b) they agreed it was an exploit that was unfair and should be stopped. so frankly, Valentio, I'm rather disgusted that you claim you did nothing wrong just because you didnt get banned. That kind of thinking shows everyone why you are so good at this political stuff, because the great politicians know how to sweet-talk out of both sides of their mouth.

2. Why hasn't Valentio answered the question of whether or not he is actually Nyssa, or related to Nyssa, or paying for Nyssa's account, or whatever other things this rather obscure question might imply? Why does it matter? Because if any of it is true, then he is actually running two vanarchy campaigns. And before he says anything, I'll say it. No, it's not against the Tos, but it is unsavory, and therefore it should be disclosed.

3. Is Spectre falling apart? In plainer terms, is there infighting? Are members leaving or being kicked because they disagree with your tactics? If so, it matters to the community because we shouldn't be voting for you if you're unstable because we may end up with yet another guild who disbands while in power and leaves the zone high and dry. It also matters because if your own members disagree with the way you're doing things, the general public may too, and we should get to decide that before we vote for you.

You may not like the rag mag style in which these important questions were posed, Valentio, but the questions are what matters. The OP is asking questions which I'm sure a lot of people would like the answers to before they vote. I see a lot of your Spectre people defending you by claiming that other alliance is running a smear campaign. I have news for you. Calling you out on important issues is not smearing you just because you don't like it. and if you don't like it, politics is not the place for you. Maybe you should be a lawyer instead. If your going to be the "Vanarch of the People" (regretting that stupid interview yet?) then you had better be prepared for scrutiny and start using less sneaky tactics to win. And by the way, what that acronym Spectre stands for? Wow, that is arrogance at its finest.

So now you're saying that TeamSpeak isn't even what you're used to commonly seeing for guilds, until TERA, but it's still your go-to when you're making up stories? Neat!

Sirah, I am not making any such claim, just simply sharing my experience, and a simple stating of the wrong comm application is just a stupid way of deflecting the topic. Had I said "I met with Valentio in person and this is what was said" the argument would be perfectly valid that this obviously didn't happen.

Dead2Rites, I couldn't have said it better myself, these are truly important questions and I think that you are right on point with everything you've said.
