What's up with our Vanarchs?

What are some of our elected officials doing?

Specifically, some major low level zones such as Popolion have all the stores deactivated. No speciality stores at all. The worst part is that the trainers are deactivated on top of everything else. Considering that Popolion is a major leveling up zone I can't really understand the logic here. I understand that perhaps you can't keep every store open, but the trainers? Really? Are we being trolled by these guilds, or is there actually a reason why they shut everything down?

I want to say the guild in charge of that zone is Zero Tolerance, but if the trainers aren't opened up soon whoever it is won't be getting my vote next turn around.

I'd also like folks that have noticed other guilds or zones that seem mismanaged to post reports of what area and perhaps what guild if you happen to know off-hand. This will give us a reference guide when the next elections come open.

Come on Dragonfall, lets get political!

Also, a few good resource threads for Vanarchy Information that have been posted in this thread.

I suspected there might be one or two provinces that get the short end of the stick with their first round Vanarchs. Poporia w/ Zero Tolerance being the poster child.Rage is Essenia is slacking off, too, I think.
I believe there were a lot of promises of zone help and events that have fallen by the wayside from many Vanarchs.

I would like to make a shout out to Sirina & Vae Victis, who are being really active and communicative in their province right from the start. They are in Dragonfall. Way to be out there. I was levelling thru that area when the election ended and they were right there to start services rolling. Sirina even asked which services we'd like to have turned on first and have been present in the area chat since then.

I noticed Vae Victis doing their zone events as well and give them props for being up front and active, and will glady vote for them again next time around. Zero Tolerance will be the first against the wall. They are the most obvious failure of the system, and I have to wonder if they have any reason for the poor job they are doing at the moment. The low level zones need to have better administration or new people to the game, or people that are making alts, are going to get pissed. They're shooting themselves in the foot too, since that's money their guild is missing out on.

I wonder if they are trying to get more cash by forcing people to purchase teleport scrolls to level, since the flight to Velika takes a minute or so to land. Still seems like they'd make more opening the trainers in a zone where everyone levels several times.

As for Rage, according to the 1% Club thread Rage had some issues with their leader being on vacation right after the elections so I'll keep my opinions to myself until they get that worked out.

Actually, the 1% Club Thread is probably the best place for this stuff anyway. It's a much more thought out post than mine!

I'm under the impression that you cannot pass Vanarch and the associated controls to another person in the guild (and only the Vanarch can utilize the controls).

Just from poking around on these boards and in-game, here are the things/rumors that I've heard:

According to a post in the 1% Club thread, Rage's GM was moving to a new home on the weekend that Vanarchs were announced (I also saw something in-game about him being honorably discharged from the military and was moving to civilian housing that weekend -- no idea if that's legit or not). Looks like they've taken care of the tax rate and stores according to that thread as well.

Based on nightly rumors in-game, Zero's Tolerance's GM quit the game before the Vanarchs were announced, and thus no one can do anything about Popolion (EmE intervention was sought, and they informed the guild that they don't intervene in the political system in that matter). So yeah, I don't think they'll be winning again, let alone even running.

Haven't seen anything about Knights of Velika or Loli Brigade, so I just presume that they're doing their own thing.

But yeah, we should probably keep all of this in the 1% Club thread so that we have a single point of information for all the Vanarch stuff, and that one seems like the most organized and informative place to do it:

I didn't know what that post was, 1% club. My eyes slid right over that topic but found the title of this one. That is a good source of opinions, though.

ENCLAVE is in Ostgarath. We were there as soon as possible to get policy points. We were opening shops as soon as possible. Everything has remained open.

We DID have the tax rate at 2% (3% lower than default). That is what our Vanarchy edict said and that is what happened. The tax fell to 1% a few days after.

I just wanted to let ya'll know after reading this I really wanted a cry... was so happy. I have the most amazingly dedicated members that helped get enough to extend the NPCs for days just a couple hours after obtaining Vanarch and then over 60,000 policy points in just the next few days to extend them for their entire reign. This thread means the world to me after having so many complain of spam after I speak just once in Vanarch channel or extend the NPCs, never going to make everyone happy, but it hurts to work so hard and get QQ'd at about "spam".

Thank you so very much, this is the whole reason I have hope in this game, this community and my guild members. I hope to get to know Heartwood Knights better, everywhere I have seen ya'll are always friendly and helpful. Hope to become friends with the guild leader sometime soon :) and I really had hoped ya'll would make it into that 5th position towards the end of the elections, hard fought position.

Thanks again,

Sarina

The novelty wore off pretty quick for Zero Tolerance. Think they just wanted their titles and that was it. Never have they opened the Spec store or trainers in Popolion.

Disappointing stuff.

Not voting for those guys again.

You cannot pass lead while doing ANYTHING in the political system (even being registered) and only the GL can extend services.

It'd be awful nice of ZT's GM to at least login once to extend services for as long as he can with however many PPs they have now...
