I want to try it out by dominating some repeatable bam world mobs. I understand the low level will get no xp from the kills, but turning in 10 quests every 10 minutes for the extra bam experience, should more than make up for it.
Has anyone tried this, or found something else to help level a friend?
Lancers can Power Level lower folks. Don't get int he party. Taunt and block. Let the DPS just unleash on BAMs. I like to run through CH and help random people.

You can power level people through normal quests story quests and instance quests you can not power level via repeatable quests. I know this as true because I helped level my guildies mystic with my 60 warrior. I was grouped with him during the process.

I know from level's 1-10 having top end priest buffs will make you godlike and nigh unkillable. Post 10 they probably still help out a lot. You can also heal your friend as well.
Instance repeatable quests are good, but they are on cool down even if you get an x server que it's still to long to be considered "power leveling"
IMO the best way to help your friend would be to make an alt and play with them when they are on.
Especially a Lancer & Sorc Combo.

Lancers and priests/mystics are the easiest to help with low levels. As a priest, just spam aoe heals. You'll aggro the BAM and keep the lowbie healed. Just make sure you don't use retaliate ;)
im still a relative lowbie (only 2 45's) but I would tell you that the combat system is what makes this game different from all the other mmo's ive ever played and i don't know why youd want to circumvent it! its very easy to level following the quest chains etc.
you would have to still follow the story quest i believe ??? most of the yellow quests are either on the way or right near the red quest so... @_@
if you were to wanna quickly PLvL my advice would be have your friend roll a character with you (pretty much any 2 classes can solo together some better than others) and just do the repeatable yellows for the mobs that you can quickly take out or get the best exp from (obviously that may change from one lev to the next) i think that would be the best way to plvl and supplement regular yellows i think.
also use your buddies gold to get some good premade weps and you'll tear thru most mobs
