Some believe that a bigger guild means a better guild, however it would not take long for one to eventually come to terms that this idea is not always a truthful one.
There are many larger, more established guilds on the server of FreeHolds, some that were created during the Open Beta event. Others that were created and gathering members much sooner. However, if one were to have been a part of a guild like that they may eventually feel that some guilds are more Zerg than guild when they grow to numbers that enormous. What is a Zerg? A Zerg is described as "a massive group of unorganized, unskilled players so big that it's virtually impossible for the leaders to stay on top of things or the members to really know one another." This is not what we are trying to accomplish within the Burning Rose guild.
Within the Burning Rose guild, we want to bring back that sense of family and close companionship people once felt within an enclosed community. Many guilds seem to cast aside the feeling of family and comeradery and replace it with a legion of members that feel more like grunts than a part of a working, tight-knit system. The group that made the song is the same, but the song itself is different I do believe. Something along the lines of "Defenders of the Earth". Maybe you know the exact name since you seemed more acquainted with the musical group than me. But yea, lol the song seemed to fit well with what I wanted to do. Still took me a day to make the video though.

Ah, I had no idea! I never really took much time to peruse other guild icons so I never knew if mine would resemble anyone else's once shrunk down to size. However, if you need a new icon I'd be willing to make a contribution or two. Xp I have a couple hand-made icons in my photobucket I'd be happy to link you. Otherwise I'll just keep my fingers crossed on my end and hope like hell that the white and yellow in my picture allows people to tell the difference. XD

The internal structure and balance are different, as is the framing on ours. It shouldn't be too big of an issue.

More importantly, if members of both guilds behave well there shouldn't be a problem even if people get confused. If the actions of one start hurting the reputation of the other, then we might have a problem.

Well, I have no intention of having problems with fellow guilds. Strife will happen in some cases depending on the MMO and the people within a guild but my intention is not to cause any drama between our guilds.
