One thing I love about the Trade channels or LFG channels, is how you can see them, no matter what zone you are in. But sadly they have been overrun by RMT, and should solely be used for selling/buying or getting PTs together.

Area chat is nice, but is too limited to just your area. And Guilds are also nice, but it limits the number of people you meet.

I have no interest in being Vanarch, but I was thinking of how Vanarchs will need popular vote for now, until PvP becomes a viable option.
A good way to interact, and socialise with people outside of you guild, would be setting up a basic Private chat channel everyone is welcome to join, in order to talk to those outside of your guild, or area.
(These channels are limited to 100 people sadly, but there is work around, that isn't do great.)

This chat channel will be called "Tera1" with the password of 1234.
Just type /chat Tera1 1234 and you will be in the channel! (Then type /1 to talk in this channel)

This channel disappears if everyone logs out (such as everyone goes to bed), so if you are unable to join, just type in /make Tera1 1234 and it will be recreated!

The work around, from having a limitation of 100 (which I doubt we will ever see happen) is to have a Tera2, Tera3, etc, with 1234 as the password. Keep joining/making these in the off chance it picks up in popularity.

I was wondering where you saw the 100 person limit. You mentioned this in guild last night, and that poses a substantial limitation if true.

Also, for people who might join multiple private chat channels, the command to talk will the /# where # is the order you joined the channels. Since I already maintain a couple of others, this would be /3 for me.
