Age Restricted and or require you to use any voice programs? I do not have a microphone and I'm 19. Lol xD and it seems a lot of Frost Reach guilds are adult oriented.
Honestly most guilds say they have age restrictions just to try to keep a mature atmosphere. Most will make exceptions if a younger player can show that they fit in and can be mature. And it seems that all of the guilds who have posted so far are very reasonable. Thats why I'm loving this community haha...everyone seems pretty down-to-earth.
I would agree with Strikes on that note though we in Synergy have teamspeak 3 and though it isnt mandatory you log into it or speak on there we do reccomend that people jump on there when we have guild meetings or do runs even if they can't speak due to lack of a mic at least they can hear what is going on and keep up with the group. Also we have lots of players in your age group from military members to college students the big thing of being mature is showing your maturity by your actions not by your age.
BTW, JVirus and Strikes, both Blade of Destiny and Vigilant Addiction sound awesome! Just wanted to do a shout out lol.
Well during in CBT that's exactly what I did. I was in a guild that used Mumble but I went ahead and just logged into it to listen to the other players even though I couldn't respond back vocally. Though later down the road if I feel like I'll need to buy a mic for large raids or PvP situations than I will.
For now though I don't think it's extremely necessary especially since it's a PvE server and PvE situations are pretty self-explanatory and not complicated.
Syndicate pretty much requires Mumble.
You can say what you want, but i have seen it many times where half the guild uses voice and the other half does not. It leads to problems as the guild gets split into groups way too much. I think voice chat helps people get to know each other better and helps promote better team work.
So, voice chat is a good thing! You can get a cheap mic from walmart for like $10-15.
One thing to remember, a lot of guilds will let you join and participate as long as you can hear them. Eventually I'm sure you'll want a mic to be able to respond back, and some may require it for some of the more challenging content. Just something to think about
