New player looking for Guild

Hello everyone!

I just started playing today and I'm looking for a good guild. I've looked at the guild list in the game but I really have no idea of what guild to apply for, many of them seem the same. I've played a few mmo's and I've been in those guilds that are nothing more than useless chat rooms where people won't even bother to answer questions. I want a guild where people actually work together, and answer questions for the new players, simple enough.

I'm a very active player and since I'm just starting I'm trying out the different classes and I'm willing to level up a particular class that the guild would need.

You can leave your reply here or send me a pm. Thanks in advance.

Typically what you'll find is that many guilds on Frost Reach have a really strong central group of players (usually 3-15 people around level cap) that work together in dungeons, Nexuses, dailies, and crafting. However, the overall population of FR isn't as strong as other PvE servers, so you might have fewer opportunities to level with guild mates along the way (unless they're leveling alts). This doesn't mean that higher leveled characters won't help you clear a dungeon or kill BAMs or something (we do it all the time in Praetorian if our lower-level guildies ask), it just means that you'll most likely level alone for the majority of your way to 60.

The whole "team" aspect of TERA really shines in dungeons and when partying for the occasional BAM, but these are nothing compared to what you'll experience after level 50 or so. Near level cap, you'll find that it's safer and more efficient to work with familiar players rather than pugs, simply because there seems to be a better bond and that's where the guild members come in to play for the most part. If you’re interested in learning the mechanics of the more involved dungeons, it would be best to run with players that have done and taught it to others before.

With that said, you'll probably want to find a guild that has a decent amount of members (20+) with a good variety of classes represented. This is the best way to ensure a good knowledge base will be available to you.

In Praetorian, we have a decent amount of active players, all ranging from about the mid-teens to level cap, covering all different types of classes. While the majority of us are level 60, we’ve been known to help upcoming, under-geared, or non-experienced guildies with any question or troublesome spot/BAM/dungeon imaginable. We’ve even held practice runs for those that wanted to work on a more involved feature of a dungeon in order to make sure that, when they or the guild ran it in full in the future, it would be successful. We have a Ventrilo server, website, guild-only forums, and active leadership.

If you’re interested in joining Praetorian, we’d be happy to help you enjoy TERA a little more! You can simply apply from the in-game menu or contact me (Tribute), Amelin, or our GM, Zal, and we’ll add you on as a ‘Praetorian Recruit’. I’d also like to invite you to fill out a guild application on our website and drop a message in our forums if you can: http://ipf.enjin.com/

Whichever guild you choose, best of luck to you and happy hunting!

Praetorian is a good bunch of folks Rizaun. My guild and I run with a good number of them on a constant basis. I'm not even sure if they have any bad eggs at this point to be honest. So +1 for them.
