Yeah, I gotta say that all the forum cries for developer communication are sorely misunderstanding how Korean developers operate. At least in my experience with Aion and L2, there was almost no communication from devs and very minimal communication from community reps. Sony/SE was likewise nearly mute until WELL into FFXI.
I think their mentality is more "here's our product; you're welcome to buy it" as opposed to "tell us what you want so we can make that product." I think the first approach, while more rigid, allows for more integrity in a game and less of what you see in western games which inevitably devolves into little more than appeasing the unwashed masses for a buck.

That model might work over there, but they aren't just selling the game there. If you want your game to be truly successful in a foreign market you have to adapt to that market, not vice versa.

Also I am not saying that they should give into ever whim, cry and plea from the fan base. But they should always acknowledge bug reports, answer peoples questions regarding the release of content, take the Nexus' for example, where are they? Any time it is asked it falls on deaf ears. All EME would have to do to settle this to legitimate people wondering where they are is say that they know that they are a sought after feature, but there still isn't enough max level players across all the servers to make the mechanic work properly. See.
Silence is never a proper way to respond because it suggest ignorance.

I highly doubt you know anything about how this market works, especially the gaming market... No offense just being honest.
A few hundred forum posters does not consist of the NA gaming market. >.>
Most people, as a matter of fact never visit the forum.
