My thought is this: if someone was willing to bet that much money, I'd assume they know something I didn't, like a bug, exploit or something like that.

It has nothing to do with exploiting at all. It's easy to acquire gold. What isn't easy to do is imagine other people's play styles. Try not enchanting. Try not buying gear. Try selling gear you don't need. Try not crafting. It's all how you utilize what the game gives you. Everyone does it differently and if you don't know how, it's not that you're doing anything wrong. It's only that you play differently than someone else. Someone like the op.

Please do not automatically assume someone is exploiting. Not everyone plays the way you do. Maybe instead what you can do is pm the op and ask what his methods are. Or maybe you can google a bit. I know of at least one "get gold" guide for tera already. Or you can Make a forum post asking this specific question. Blindly calling exploiting when you may not have considered all avenues of play though, is slightly bias.

I'm offering an explanation as to why people might not take you up on the challenge. If you want to get mad at me personally, feel free to do so, but it won't get your challenge answered.

Farming 1 million gold takes like 30 minutes to farm. Maybe if you didn't sit at the high roller table with a pile of nickles and a stupid 3 foot tall drink that's 68% tap water, 2% piss, and 30% hobo class liquor. Maybe then people will take you seriously. Maybe then.
