So I just hit level 60 today, did some dailies and deciede to queue up for a normal run (no hard mode yet) My item level is 142 and have some pretty decent crystals (4) increase boss damage by 7% (28% increase total) I sit in queue for about an hour. I finally get joined up and the leader says "gear check". 30 seconds later I get kicked and have to re-queue all over again. I have all level 60 golds and a good rotation on my sorc for max dps. I dont understand, maybe Im missing something. It's not right, and crap like that ruins people's gaming experience. It shouldnt be allowed, imo.
ya that is pretty sh*tty. Only suggestion to that is...run with friends or a guild. A guild preferably... A GOOD guild....and by "good" I mean nice people.

This is somewhat expected, although silly. The mentality is that a person's time and unwillingness to die makes them antsy and want to have perfect progression. They don't want to die to some stupid idiot who pulled aggro, caused an untimely enrage, couldn't keep heling going, etc.. Implicitly, it is never that person's fault that they died.
What they never seem to realize is that the first bosses of Fane and Temple are both gear checks, with side skill checks involved. These bosses are relatively easy with complex mechanics that requires the group to be skilled enough with the right degree of gear to produce the kill. The gatecheck is already in the game, by preventing you from queueing, while the boss stresses a further gear check when everything is flowing smoothly, and allows the group to see who's got the skill for the rest of the dungeon.
I won't use my most ideal crystals that I cannot buy from a vendor when it comes to NMs for the sake of testing a groups skill, so will use basic damage and defense games of a tier or two below crux for the purpose of testing my group's ability to take down the boss. This should be obvious for everyone else. Instead, groups get manic about the need for epeen and overkill, rather than experience and learning. So effing sad.
Honestly, there are a ton of jerks that queue 60 dungeons, and like to kick if your gear is not up to par. And I do not see this changing until there are way more level 60s. I feel especially bad for Berserkers, I think that they get kicked way more then other class because of loot [filtered]s. I would not mind seeing some implantation to battle the Lancer vote kicking process for those who abuse it. Like if the votekick fails, and then the Lancer leaves, they should have a debuff that lasts longer then normal.
