It depends if the Damage Reduction is multiplicative or additive. Hopefully it's multiplicative. But chances are it's additive and that is BAD.

Additive, scroll down on the website I linked and you'll see.

Well, thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is gamebreakingly bad. However, if what the other poster said about them changing it over to multiplicative is true, I hope this'll be settled come release or VERY soon after release.

My worry is that if they do fix it in the next patch, it means it will be fixed in the QOA part 2 patch which we won't be getting till the end of summer.

and now imagine if this would never really surface because only a select few would run around in their lucked gear claiming this is totally ok because they "earned it" with "hard work".

that's just one of the things why the enchantment change is so awesome. hopefully class adjustement will follow next, because berserkers would probably like scaling with attack speed on their charge-ups very much, for example.

It's really easy to hotfix this, cap it @ 50% or so while working on new solution so even if you stack over 50%, dmg will not be reduced more. Sometimes people should just freakin think outside the box.

Its not that some people should think outside of the box, its that why didn't EnMasse already implement these caps and describe them when they announced the "seal" feature.

Most people are morons and assume that experts haven't thought of an idea that anyone with a brain would easily see.

Then they make posts complaining about it thinking they pioneered the idea and either offering no solution at all or one they feel is the best despite what other people might say all the while [filtered]ing and moaning about their feelings on a subject they know little about.

Scythes stop being so obviously mad.

The point is that once the change was implemented everyone obviously went to re-enchant their gear. You call them experts, but I'm pretty sure if they were experts they would have done something BEFOREHAND. PvP in Korea is not happening period.

I'm not worried about this change making its way to NA Tera because I'm sure it'll be changed by then. What I am worried about is the fact that these ideas that anyone with a brain can think of aren't being seen ahead of time by your "experts."

The patch with the items in question is already in our version. So come launch, when ya hit lvl 58 you will be able to start replicating this, and complete it at lvl 60, with the pvp crystals.

Though as you say, Ktera really does not have pvp right now, so they may just wait till QoA P2 to fix it. Sooo we are either left dealing with it, or EME hot fix's it... not sure how that will go over though.

it did not occur to you that there is also +pvp damage stat and that the general pvp damage is so high, that every bit of reduction is highly welcome, as long as there is a certain balance between them both? the most logical assumption is that the devs balanced this with the thought in mind that if you want to do pvp you will also get some +pvp damage on your stuff making those 104% not that godly anymore?

I understand it's in our version, but I can't really see a problem that basically prevents PvP being there long. If everyone has to wait till QoA P2 just to be able to PvP effectively again then this is quite a problem.

An increase in PvP damage doesn't reduce a reduction in PvP damage....

If you normally do 10000 damage, but do 12000 in PvP a 104% reduction will make both of them 0 damage.
