An increase in PvP damage doesn't reduce a reduction in PvP damage....

If you normally do 10000 damage, but do 12000 in PvP a 104% reduction will make both of them 0 damage.

can you prove this? because i would actually expect that these both stats directly offset each other.

Percentages, how do they work?

i'm seriously not following why the OP is mad, i mean, most people here made it obvious that they are correcting this, and it is pretty clear that En Masse wouldn't let this happen.
soo.....thread=useless now?

Not sure if you're trolling or not, but no matter what amount of damage you do 104% reduction makes it 0 damage.

You are thinking that 104% reduction is subtracted by the PvP damage increase percentage, but that's not how it works.

Basically, but people want something to nerdrage about. Especially the downies who are mad that they won't be able to RNGpewpew to victory anymore.

and now imagine if this would never really surface because only a select few would run around in their lucked gear claiming this is totally ok because they "earned it" with "hard work".

that's just one of the things why the enchantment change is so awesome. hopefully class adjustement will follow next, because berserkers would probably like scaling with attack speed on their charge-ups very much, for example.

Everyone needs to read this post again.

Before the sealing/unsealing changes, it was still possible to have a ton of pvp reduction attributes, since there was still no limit. That means that someone out there could still potentially have sealed/unsealed their gear soooo many times that they managed to get nearly 100% pvp damage reduction.

The fact that gear attributes are now lock-able does NOT suddenly make this unacceptable. It was always unacceptable. the attribute-lock change has actually surfaced the problem for us. Made it obvious that a limit is needed on the # of these attributes. I am absolutely confident that it will be addressed.

With this issue out in the open, instead of hidden behind the veil of "oh well you would have to be super lucky to be a pvp god," we can move onto more important things, like class tuning, as Hurfmurf as already stated.

well they have nothing to nerd rage about anymore

Chager decided to give RmT's everything they want

the legendary gear in the game, the gear that has limited amount on each server, BoE and not BoP

so RmT's are going to collect as much legendary stuff they can ,then sell it for high price, since there is only a limited amount per server.

i think they should be more mad about this, then anything.

they work depending on how the damage formula is designed, smarta*s. and i said, i actually would have expected a substraction of pvp related percentages before the final damage is calculated.

i.e. attacker has 50% pvp attack bonus, the target sits on 104% pvp defence. final damage that the target will recieve is modified by 54% then.

if the devs are retarded enough to let this slip by, it will probably work as 104% pvp defense makes you get hit for nothing no matter what.
