The PvP changes are great but the lack of new content from CBT2 to CBT3 will just entice players to gank more. Maxed players will gank just so they don't have to deal with flagging as outlaw.

Im assuming you havn't read the patch notes:

Killing a lowbie grants you 60 infamy points

As long as you have infamy points you remain red even through death. If you hide in a town your infamy points decrease at a rate of 1 per hour (or something like that)

The only way to get rid of infamy points is killing monsters the same level as you (-1 infamy point per monster killed)

So in essence, if you kill a lowbie you will get 60 infamy points. If you hide in town it'll take you 60 hours to get rid of outlaw status. If you kill monsters to try to get rid of your outlaw status you will be killed by all players in the area cause they can PK you without penalty.

I think that solves the lowbie ganking problem

CORRECTION: hiding in town as an outlaw reduces infamy at a rate of -1 per 5 minutes. So 1 lowbie gank = 5 hours of sitting in town if you dont want to venture out and be PKed by everyone else.

I for one will wait for someone dumb enough to be flagged outlaw and just gank them to get my PK fix lol

there is so much to do other than grind out to level cap. if you think that is all there is to tera, you really need to do some exploring...

Well for the OP it went from lack of content to now just protecting lowbies from mass gankage which probably wont happen as high levels usually spend time ganking ppl of their own levels as its more fun. Word of advice to the lowbies rolling on pvp servers for the first time. Make friends with high levels quickly. Join a guild, party up, meet people.. if you're harassed, shout and there will be people to come at your aid. Its always how pvp has worked in all games. Bottom line is, you roll pvp, you deal with what may happen.

The lack of new content will be the couse of the increase in ganking.

Exactly.. thats why I havent capped out at all yet. Whats the point in closed beta? There is so much other things to do. Explore, enjoy the scenery, whatever.. test out content. Capping out should be saved for when official release happens when it matters. People cap out so they get the best gear and start upgrading etc. In CBT its all going to be wiped anyway, so why waste time and effort to level so fast and end up feeling like how you feel right this instance with this thread lol.

i am somewhat of a no-lifer, so i usually cap out really quickly. and i still find things to do for the rest of the weekend. if all else fails, roll an alt. or in this guys case, if lowbie ganking is such a problem, he can white knight in lumbertown. pvp is fun.

i know for a fact that some guilds will remain outlaws for all of CBT3 but there will be alot more whites than reds. And when those reds aren't in their big giant gank partys theyre free kills out of town

BTW if they decide to turn on penalties for infamy points in CBT4, those said guilds will be screwed for CBT4 lol

you know you can try other classes, races quest areas also. There is plenty of content, you dont only need to play 1 char in a closed beta.

as to your comment "enough content in closed beta" I just say lol

Yeah seriously it's a closed beta mate it's not even the open Beta lol as stated multiple times you're not here to hit max lvl if you want to do that in a day or if you're bothered by helping out the tera community so they can work out the bugs etc.. maybe you should go back to WoW lol
