They already have extra buffs and a slightly higher drop rate for using the cross server LFG with teleport.

So who cares about a smaller CD?

I also have to mention that some of the very best gear comes from the Nexuses and crafting, which don't rely on dungeon cooldowns. There's also daily reputation quests to do so you can work on getting green crystals and other items. These can be done during downtime between dungeons. Make use of your time between dungeons instead of complaining that you can't run one dungeon over and over as fast as people that use LFD can get into it.


The crafting is great, too bad all the recipe drops inside of said dungeons. Nexus don't always occur and when they do, need 30+ players for the faction/rewards to be worth it. Faction repeatables are capped at 5 repeats per day of each faction, 2 repeats for the last one and 10 total for each day.

Sure you can do all those between dungeons but you're still going to get the best efficiency from cheesing the system.

Well, what if, like WoW...you can't invite another player physically without queing up? Getting yourself just another random player? Would you keep the random, or would you just kick the player anyways? (Since the LFD as far as I know, tries to not double up classes)

Would I do that? I'm not going to say. I am going to say I have a guild and they come first over randoms. And being denied content because I have a guild in a guild based game doesn't make sense.

Enmass... why are you denying guilds content? There is no way you can spin this. LFD is a find tool, but what's up with the cooldown bonus for non-guild runs?

You type what I was going to say.

I can see this happening a lot. 4 people and 1 out of party guildy queue up at same time and will just kick the random until the 5th friend/guild member can get in. Anyone who solo queue will get punish for this since they will be kicked over and over again once more people start doing this.

LFD limits level to use, so really the reduced CD for entering is for groups that they can guarantee aren't high-level farmers.

I'm sure they'll eventually code in a way so that server-formed non-farming groups can get the benefits, but for now, this is easier to code, and it's going to cover a lot of people.

PS - If their LFD tool has a "preference" towards on-server groups (and I hope it will, if only because there's been so much concern by others that it'll breed unaccountability and that seems a fair compromise VS no LFD), then when you solo players get into a 4-person guild group and they kick you, you can tell the rest of the server who the a-hole guilds are. If not, then at least you've got a 10% chance of own-server people.

I'd help to maintain a thread about which guilds exhibit this behavior, though... since politics is supposed to be a major part of the game, this kind of thing would discourage people from giving those guilds power over them.

Random thought: When the Social Security Administration was formed, it only covered like 30% of the population. It just got expanded over time to cover the rest. :\

It's been reported from KTERA (by Nalfen IIRC) that you can tr to game LFD by queuing your 4-man and having a 5th queue at the same moment. There is a fair chance, although not a guarantee, that your 5th will be put in your group.


Will definitely be trying this a few times, would be even easier if they are going to allow preference to same server matching.
