I see a lot of [filtered]ing/complaining about Tera not having this feature or that feature, which will make it fail. And it is typically some WoW player comparing it to a well-seasoned MMO. I have news for you… it won’t fail. You are comparing a game that has been in development since 2001 to a game that is in beta now. If you played Vanilla WoW… there were NO dps meters, moveable UI, LFG matchmaking, or battlegrounds. The game had bugs, crashed often, and queues were crazy. Eleven years later, and Blizzard is still improving the game.

World of Warcraft opened the MMO market to players that normally didn’t play MMOs, like Asheron’s Call or Everquest (your flavor from back in the day). With over 12 million subscribers, WoW has a lot of diversity when it comes to a player’s game style. Developers aren’t trying to crush WoW, they are giving players an alternative to an MMO that has become an elitist cookie cutter game. They have DUMBED down WoW to a large extent. Your hand is held the entire game. Think about it (wowhead, elitistjerks). And you know you don't read the story/quest, you click through it. Remember MMO comes with some RPG.

Tera IS NOT World of Warcraft… it isn’t designed to kick WoW out of the market. It was not designed to cater to the elitist WoW player. If Tera doesn’t stand up to your standards, go back to WoW; it is that simple.

I don’t know where all the trolls came from or why people think its fun to troll. Really, for the past 2 days the same troll has been in the starting island talking about how horrible Tera is… Whose payroll are you on? Have the competitive MMO companies resorted to sending players into a BETA of a game to discourage people from playing? Or are you just mad no one is playing WoW as much, and your sick of the long queue times?

Are you some 18 year old, pimply face, over weight child who was picked on in high school? Get a life please. OOO, you mad brah? And since when do you “win” from being put on a block/ignore list? I give no troll satisfaction. And for everyone else, as soon as you see a sign of a troll, just ignore them and put them on your block list.

BOTTOM LINE: If you don’t like the [filtered] game, stop playing and stop wasting your life away [filtered]ing about it. Go play something you enjoy. Like SWTOR…err… WoW… or some other F2P game, you cheap [filtered].

its the same exact reason GW2 will fail and TSW. because of the hype..

if ppl think GW2 will be heralded as the second coming of Jesus and absolutely nothing will be wrong with it and will strike a perfect balance with everybody is just kidding themselves.

with that said.. i agree with the OP.

i have been looking for another mmo to play along side SWTOR. if this is it fine if not then fine. although after spending 3 hours download a patch. i have to wait another 30 minutes for another patch.. this game better just be so mind boggling good that i want to stay forever.

IIn my opinion, games released today shouldn't have ALL the problems of games had 10 years ago. If you want to survive in the long run, it needs to be more polished than games were 10 years ago.
