Mr. Wolfy, did you have to change your name? I haven't seen you on in a while.
Conversation has become rude. Locking.
looks liek a power struggle at the tera headquarters
Personally I'm not too down about the content updates we get, sure the bugs we have and need fixed take a while longer than most would like but to be honest that's just how things are.
It sucks to say that, but TRION isn't EME/BHS, I can say however I love how involved EME is regardless of what other companies do and they deserve more credit for all they do in general. I hate to see GM's get insta-trolled and yelled at every single time they say something in Global. Honestly I feel they do a pretty stellar job in comparison to a lot of other MMO companies out there.
My only thing that bugs me at this point is my crystals breaking every death >.<, but that isn't so much of a big deal... kinda. If any of you recall there was a thread (not going to dig it up) of someone queued for 2 hours trying to get into 3 different HM instances and I feel crystals are a result of that... I wish you could buy those boss dropped crys off of specialty stores or something like that so we could have a solid place to get them and actually get some of the gold out of the market... but hey they're fixing enchanting and that's a great start.
Tl;dr EME does a great job in my opinion I just hope they can stay strong and bring some more people back into the game. :)
I stopped playing Tera like 2 weeks ago because of the lack of content. Game revolves too much around who your friends with rather then skill.
They let the blatent exploit with MC go on, and I know they know about it, yet theres no hotfix or anything. Something as simple as increasing the boss speed or disallowing mounts.
Any idiot can get good gear. It's like wow 2.0
Time to be a panda.
I played Rift for 1 1/2 years and had the full experience, I believe I can elaborate on what you said wolfy.
If there was a bug in rift that let's say, made a raid boss very easy to exploit and kill, well, you better hurry up and do it that night, or avoid it out of honor's sake, one or the other, because tomorrow morning when you wake up, there will be a hotfix, and it will no longer be possible.
So, in Rift, a bug that allows you to easily kill a raid boss using an unintended method to do so - Patched within 24 hours
In Tera, and this isn't to badmouth Tera, it's simply stating facts, but people found out that the KN Fire/Ice weapons were affecting queen and stopping her from using most of her abilities, this was patched in KTera quickly but, over a month later, and NA Tera still doesn't have this update. People are still using them, and who can blame them, and they're killing queen easiler than they should be. After this went on for a couple of days these players all got enough of the Queen's gear to easily continue killing her, so now, even if it were patched, the effects on dungeon progression have already been felt. But, that isn't even what happened, so a week or so after the first kill, these teams are now finding themselves with more gear than they know what to do with, thus, they start selling it for 50-75k an item. Let's fast forward a month after that point, to today's NA Tera. Teams are now selling T14 Abyss weapons for between 6 and 20k and they're selling regeant gear regularly. On top of that, there has been an exploit for over a month which isn't simply a bug, it's a straight out exploit, we all know about this, it's the merry-go-round tactic in MC which let's anyone in any set of gear clear the first two bosses without ever being hit, this has caused the T13 market to absolutely be demolished within a shorter period of time than it normally would have and has caused the T14 armor market to drop about 80% in price. Anyone, regardless of gear etc. can go in once per day and get a clear of first 2 bosses and then go spam the market with more enigmatic Abyss armors..... This has completely ruined item progression as well as the economy. The bottom line is that Tera doesn't patch their exploits in less than a month's time, Rift patches them overnight, that is the biggest difference between the two games.
