love your post, and i like the way you play the game, i don't mean to come across as to say ban them, but don't post them as guides, post them as opinions or helpful tips, if people are having trouble, post a helpful thread explaining what a class+race combo can do, their pros and cons, and all the info, a helpful thread i feel has a different feel to it, then the ones named "Guide"

I see, I must have misinterpreted - my bad.

Anyway, my personal opinion is that calling something a guide is fine. If it is giving the basics of a class and/or a cookie cutter build that is commonly thought to be a good build than it serves as a fine guide for a player who doesn't want to delve deeper into building a character. Guides do exactly what they should do, provide advice and a sense of direction on where to take something. Nothing wrong with helpful threads or guides imo - they serve slightly different purposes though

naw naw its fine, and yeah i think the difference between tips and guides are what make the biggest difference, but as the game gets more and more updates, some builds will be completely messed up and others might become better, it is a risk everyone has to take.

i'm not a person making massive threads saying to change it..

Whats it like, living in your own world? YOU ARE making threads about it, oh lol....

i'm sorry, i was not aware that a single thread, stating an opinion, not saying "change this and that" was more then one thread, and telling people what they have to do?

please refrain from being rude towards me, you are putting suggestive posts on the thread to give people the wrong idea about other people.

i've made one thread, stating my opinion, not stating it should be ban-able, not saying they SHOULD remove it, just stating my opinion on the matter, please do not mistake my post as nothing more then a simple opinion.

*Edit*
i'm aware Tera isn't WoW, please don't make comments that make it appear to others that you assume i play WoW.

i've never played WoW, never liked the idea of warcraft becoming an mmorpg, i didn't rage at people for playing it, i supported their choice, i've bought my oldest sister all the expansions for the game, and even paid a few months of it for her, just because i don't like something doesn't mean i'm going to ruin it for everyone else, so please don't try to ruin my thread.

please refrain from being rude towards me

How about you refrain from sending me private messages saying i am going to get banned/have my posts deleted.

Also, from the OP:

"Don't post these threads on forums"

Im done trying to get through with you, you say one thing, then immediately say another later on to cover your feelings.

You are free to have your opinion and not read guides, stop trying to impose your will on the gaming community. It is selfish, short sighted and arrogant.

again, please stop posting lies about me, i simply informed you as to what a GM, someone who enforces the rules, told me, not that i was going to get you banned.

as i said, my opinion, requestion people not to post them, not telling them absolutely not, i even went on to say, if you want to share it on guild sites/msn/skype, and i'll even add it here, Fan-sites/Wiki, so that people are more aware that REGULAR people made these posts and are not supported by the staff/devs of Tera.

please stop with the libeling statements, trying to ruin my name simply because you disagree.

I've glanced over some guides on these forums and noticed that they all talk about things that are common sense. You're kind of ruining it for yourself if you need to follow a guide, it's very easy to figure these things out on your own and far more fun.

The only thing that I can see discussion about is what Glyphs you're using. There are some stickied "guides" that don't even mention them. So they just list out the skills like you couldn't find them on the main page haha. I guess some people just need to have their hand held.

Now i remember what it was.

It is not name calling to say that expecting the whole gaming community to not post guides because you dont like them is selfish and arrogant.

1) its selfish because it takes away the ability of other people to get a better undeerstanding of the class they use because "i dont want to read guides so they shouldnt be allowed to either".

2) Its arrogant because you cannot expect people to conform to your beliefs for no reason other than "i think it so they should too".

People should be allowed to post guides. It allows for a greater understanding of the class by the community as a whole, and that is a good thing.

+99 char

exactly, things are so simple to figure out, there really is no need for guides, if people respect the game and actually like it, they will willingly take the time to READ about it on the website, or ingame, playing and figuring it all out....not hard is it?

Most people won't even look at these "guides" dude and they will be better players for it.

I sure hope i dont run into you in LFG. Higher level players actively seek to better themselves through whatever means available. This means playtesting to find out whats best for them, as well as reading up on what has worked for others and how skills actually work (quite often skills have odd effects that are not obvious).

It is not wrong to seek information to make yourself a better player, and it is not wrong to give advice to others.
