All these complaints about TERA are pretty sad.

I was playing the secret world beta today fun game but it has the graphics of the sims (the original one) the entire time I toyed with the game I kept thinking about Tera since it had been a while since I last played it. like May 14th. I could care less about Enmasse but I like TERA. What sucks is comming back here after a while and seeing so many complaints about the game. Not suprised since this game has more trolls than a childrens story book.

I planned on waiting about a month or 2 and seeing if the kinks were ironed out with the game but instead I see an invite in my gmail inbox from Enmasse trying to get me to spread the word that they have 7 day free trials now. I kind of frowned when I saw that because it just seems like desperate move. So putting 2 & 2 together It's easy to see the game isn't doing as well as it should.

In any case I still had fun playing Tera itself. It seems like the only way to enjoy it is to avoid the forums, talking to the GM's,opening tickets, and taking people seriously. At the root of it Tera is a pretty nice game. I don't have much time to play games as it is but I still would like to enjoy Tera when I can.

@OP, if you are having fun with Tera, good for you. I personally dont believe it.

I mean, what exactly are you having fun with? The Nexus? Questing? Endgame? Crafting? Enchating? the Vanarch system? I am just really curious which part of the game you actually think its fun.

Sure the graphics are great and combat was fun the first couple of months, but after that there is nothing else. Everything else is just a fake placeholder. Sorry, but if you think Tera is a real game, you need to go and play some more games.

Tera was developed as a quick "get-rich" scam by BH. What they are selling is nowhere near a finished product or a real working MMO. Thats what I think at least.

I disagree. Nothing about TERA spells scam.

I spent the evening running LoT with guildies and was amazed at all the care that was put into making this game. Of course BHS wants a return on investment, but there is a tremendous amount of love and artistry that went into TERA, as well. You can tell that just watching your character's idle animation. The Amani female's is breath-taking, to name just one. TERA is the work of artists.

Now BHS may have limited financing, and EME misjudged a lot of things about their audience. The game has lots of holes, from crafting, to questing, to the missteps that lead to BGs being missing, and the list goes on. But the intentions were good.

Well EME and BlueHole shouldn't have released Tera without content and fixing what players hated in Korea and the betas. They didn't test the game with real paying players and shipped a game that was unpolished and in such a buggy unfinished state, if they didn't want players to be complaining.

You people also saying that is has only been 2 months.... are you joking this isn't 2000 if an MMO doesn't address the issues and fix bugs that are a huge problem with in that time they met as will close their doors and shutdown the servers. Players and the times demand that these things be fixed and changed, if players don't like the content or systems that are in the game they are not going to be sticking around. EME is probably at a loss for why they are losing subs on a daily basis. They way Korean games come out with fixes and content at sure a slow pace does not fly in other countries, they need to pick it up or fail and right now they are on their last leg to failure. If this next patch doesn't add content and fix what is already broken. Tera is dead in the water.

I must disagree with you sir. According to Enmasse's own advertisements, the things we were to expect in this game were "Larger Than LiveBam's" "True Action Combat" "Instanced Dungeons" and "Endgame consisting of raids, PvP, and the Nexus". Thus far only Instanced Dungeons are actually in the game, and the dungeon finder tool which is the single most effective way of finding groups for Dungeons is effectively PREVENTING players from using the only feature of the game that is currently functional. You join the queue and you sit there for 40 minutes on average. You get into the group and clear one or two waves of mobs. SOMEONE inevitably has an issue (maybe hes a retard, maybe hes a troll, maybe the lancer doesn't want to roll against a Zerker) but someone leaves for whatever reason. Then you are stuck in the queue until you find a replacement, because you are literally not allowed to invite a replacement you know from your server to your group to complete the instance. By this point, you are also stuck in cooldown, so you cannot re queue in the dungeon tool for over 30 minutes nor can you simply join a group you see advertising themselves. After 30 minutes, if you do not have your own group you rinse and repeat.

There were 4 separate closed betas and an entire year and a half of Korean Tera for the Enmasse crew to see exactly what would happen if they did release the game like this. The product is definitely not finished. It is very difficult to have "Fun" in this game because the games mechanics are working against you entirely, which is sad considering the "True Action Combat" idea is very unique and (When they actually have content and a working dungeon finder) would be putting TERA on the map. But the fact is... holy hell Enmasse fudged the hell out of this games release.
