All these complaints about TERA are pretty sad.

@OP, if you are having fun with Tera, good for you. I personally dont believe it.

I mean, what exactly are you having fun with? The Nexus? Questing? Endgame? Crafting? Enchating? the Vanarch system? I am just really curious which part of the game you actually think its fun.

I'm having fun playing a hamster who can ride a lion. I'm having fun playing a MMO the same way I would be playing a game like Ninja Gaiden - except with my awesome friends. I'm having fun exploring a fully realized seamless world in which you can ride from one end of the continent to another, as well as fly over it.

Sure the graphics are great and combat was fun the first couple of months, but after that there is nothing else. Everything else is just a fake placeholder. Sorry, but if you think Tera is a real game, you need to go and play some more games.

With all due respect - it sounds like you need to play less games. The amount of money Tera makes is negligible compared to Angry Birds or Farmville, and those games SUCK. Like many MMO players, I can list out 10-12 MMO's I've played. Tera is awesome, even and especially in comparison to those other MMO's I've played for years.

Tera was developed as a quick "get-rich" scam by BH. What they are selling is nowhere near a finished product or a real working MMO. Thats what I think at least.

This is the most unfair statement ever. Really? I can't even think of a decent reply to this because its not an issue of explanation. It's like trying to argue with birthers. Sheesh.

I think I've said this before, because people are upset with a game and are willing to speak out about it doesn't make them a troll. The fact that you think you are poking them makes you a troll - which is lol because you couldn't troll well if you tried.

Also i congragulate you on having a good guild, and I sincerly hope its an RP guild that can get kicks out of just being on a online server with glittery environment. Cause the core is gonna jump ship the moment another decent alternative comes out.

I think your claims are a little baseless at this point and I don't think you speak for everyone, nor should you try to. I, for one, am intrigued by claims that this game doesn't bow to casual gamers. The endgame content is what everyone--including casual gamers--should strive to overcome. It should just take the casual gamers longer to overcome it. In most MMOs, the game is nerfed to oblivion because of casual gamer complaints. That challenge is what keeps the hardcore players playing. Casual gamers come and go and they are a dime a dozen. If they weren't so casual about their gaming, they may have a right to complain.

Casual gamers address mostly trivial concerns, whining about how things are too hard. It's the hardcore gamers that address legitimate concerns. More content, better balance, and more creative use of mechanics are constructive suggestions from hardcore gamers. Casual gamers typically whine that "dungeons are hard", "hardcore gamers are mean", "everybody wants me to be a cookie-cutter build", "there aren't enough tanks", "there aren't enough healers", "everybody is always telling me how to play my class", or something equally whiny. I'm sure that comes off as rather abrasive to the casual gamer but let's face it, it's the truth. Even if there are more casual gamers than hardcore gamers, it's the hardcore gamers that have legitimate concerns. Without the hardcore gamers, the content has to be easy as hell because no casual gamer has enough sense to manage without a hardcore gamer to step up and tell them why they are falling short.

Even though I'm not throwing my punches with the casual gamer bashing, I'm not a proponent for being rude to casual gamers. The problem is that even the most neutral and helpful suggestions often come off as insulting to arrogant, whiny, inept players that always seem to want to do things their way. If they suck, they usually suck because they refuse to listen to suggestions from more experienced players that know better. If you don't know what you're doing and somebody offers you some advice, listen to it, consider it, and try it out before you open your mouth. To me, there's a clear difference between a newb and a noob. One is new, the other is hopeless.

Wtf are you quoting me for, at least adress my topics if you are gonna quote. Unless I was somehow talking about casual gamers, which I wasn't. And who gave you the right to say what casual gamers may or may not do with their services, complaining involved.

Also the Second through fourth* sentence in the second paragraph literally make you a hypocrit. You also realize that there are so many casual gamers in TERA because there is nothing to get hardcore over ??? If you think grinding money all day to hit a button 15 times a day is hardcore, then you need to rethink the entire mmo genre. Hardcore is spending 12 hours a day for days to kill a boss encounter, and actually needing that gold you grinded the other 6 hours to keep up with the maintence of grinding something actually difficult - not just a rng button.

I have a Real question for you Batgirl, not that it has to do with whomever did what for you to make that comment but honestly why is "Thundercat" still on these boards? That is all that guy does 24/7.

Now, I'm not even asking that to start a riot I truly just want to know. Does he work for your company? Is he family of one of your staff? It likes whatever he does you people just look the other way. There's a thread up right now and every other comment is him qouting and attacking someone.

So just what purpose does it serve within the same sentence you GM's allow the same kind of behavior people like him bring to the boards. Folks that carry the same behavior as him are 50% of the problem with the game.

Some people post here just to have a discussion with other players or learn about the game, and but the folks like him are just here to start crap with other players/posters. It was actually one of the first questions I ever made on these forums addressing just how bad the community was and 2 months later it's even worse. You people at Enmasse really are driving off the good players and keeping around the knuckle heads. That's what a majority of the community related complaints have been about. People being aholes and the failure of anyone on your side figuring out what to do about it. At this point most of these jerks have figured out "hey nothing can happen to me" so they just get worse and worse and the good players that are truly tired of dealing with them just move on. I can say for sure it WAS a deciding reason I stopped playing the game (feel free to look at my support tickets if you can).

No one wants to play an MMO with a pisspoor community that's just the truth. There's old old old games people still hang around in and play and it's not because the games so good but because the people they play with and around are fun to be with. So far that's been an area that Tera has been lacking in the most. A strong and friendly community.

That is actually a problem I have seen in ALL MMOs I have played ever since WoW become bro-gaming. By Blizzard destroying the actual world and gameplay of WoW simply to get more and more people on the game, it created this alter MMO player that expects each and every MMO to play exactly like WoW. Then when the game is even the slightest bit different from how WoW plays, they do nothing but complain about the game and just act like an overall A-hole to anyone who actually likes it while their gametime ticks down. WoW really did destroy the MMO community and it will be a while before it ever really comes back. I have actually been playing Final Fanatsy XI again with friends and even though that game is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it is still a well running game with a great community. Smaller community, but it is there.

I know what you mean. I've actually been playing Guildwars for years. I'm not crazy about the game but I met some good folks in there I stick around just to play with. It has one of the best communities I've experienced so far but I know GW2 is going to kill all that. I also enjoyed playing wow but not so much for hte game itself but to run my guilds that was the best part about that game for me but when it started getting bland and people stopped logging into play I didn't have much of a reason to play either.
