I notice most people always discuss PvP. Personally I can't stand pvp at all, I just want to explore and quest PVE, and that's how it is for me in every MMO. Anyone else like this?
It's fine on occasion for me. I can't stand open world PvP but things like the occasional duel or Battlegrounds I can tolerate. Just don't like ganking. It's not fun for anyone but the ganker.
PvE servers with battlegrounds, arena's or certain zones that are PvP work for me. Open world PvP I can do without.
You're not alone in not liking it. I have zero interest in killing other players, or even fighting them. No duels or battlegrounds for me, and obviously no open world stuff. I just want to quest, and run instances and kill BAMS with my friends (and hopefully more like minded friends I may make ingame!).
I care for PvP, just not in MMORPGs. There are much better genres that fit my preference of it. I'm playing Tera because my friends and myself want another world to get lost in and have fun with. Not that the occasional duel and such won't happen.
There's nothing wrong with you, OP.
For some MMOs are like a chat box with things to do.
For others MMOs are like the Roman Colosseum.
That's why there are 2 server types.
When i was younger, had more time and energy. I wouldnt play on anything but PvP servers, the air of danger meant something. The danger of battle starting at any given moment hardened my gaming nerves, I loved it.
Turning a gank around was such sweet justice.
Now that i dont have 2 hours a day to spend being corpse camped or waiting for a party of gankers to leave my questing area. I roll PvE to get to max lvl and do battlegrounds/raid content.
Gamers change with time....damn im getting old :(
