Would people enjoy an arena / Colosseum where people sign up to get into pvp fights or randomly generated situations that pit a group of people against another group or waves of mobs? They could place them in major cities and have awards posted for each match. Is this a good idea or bad and why?

I like the idea of people PvP in a non-battleground setting. I dont like the idea for fighting for prizes generated by the game itself because that could cause people to "thow" the fights (you better believe it).
I would like to see people betting within themselves of who, or what group of people will win. Maybe having an NPC who holds all the money and gives it to the winner. This is also a great idea for GvG battles: Have an NPC hold money that each guild bets on the fight and give it to the winning guild.
We could see some serious professional PvP arising out of that scenario. With people posting PvP strategies on YouTube and discussing on forums the best tactics.
Maybe even have a spectator mode and allow other people to watch the fight. For example you could watch a PvP battle between two famous PvP guilds and maybe even bet on the fight yourself.

I like the idea of people betting on themselves it puts some risk in losing. Maybe people could even spectate battles so they can see how other people are fighting.
