the buff doesnt work at all talked to customer support 9/10 times the warrior wont get the buff and the endurance factor in it isent working even if you do get the buff so everyone can stfu now! ur not smart, If you did a dungeon and thought u had the buff gz you did not have the buff and you tanked without it zomg

going to try translate this:

1- Warrior buff does not work
2- your source is a GM
3- I don't understand anything after that till the end when he congratulate to whoever did tank an instance w/out the buff

To clarify, please make sure to click on the shield icon to be the tank (top of the window) and the shield icon is selected when you queue for the instance matching system. You do get the buff and the buffs will be displayed too. We are preparing a FAQ page with more detailed information so that there is no confusion and we plan to have it up a bit later today.

@OP: You do realize that the 3rd boss in ToT has an attack that can take a fully anarchic'd lancer, if not blocking, to 10-20% hp. Eating that same attack as a "buffed" warrior probably spells death.

I understand you probably experienced a bug by missing the LFG bonus, but you don't need loldefensive buffs to warrior tank, you just need to dodge what does the most damage and get healed through the rest. Go ahead and complain but it is your fault you wiped.

Considering an "average" lancer has around 10k defense, while an "average" warrior with buff has around 20k effectively...

I think you might be derpin...


And if you don't know how defense works, that means the Warrior takes roughly half the damage of the Lancer, before applying mitigation skills.

And ippiki, reading the post might do you pretty well. Nowhere in there does it state i was in dps mode, in fact i even stated i was in defense stance......?


Umm If you only qued in Defence stance, you're gonna look pretty silly. You have to click the Tank shield at the top of the window to be accepted as the tank. LOL though.

The problem is that it seems to be a crap shoot if you're going to get the buffs at all. I tried a Fane run to test the effects of the buff and got nothing, and yes I was definitely queued as tank. I queued with 2 guildies. Once we joined the group consisted of Me (warrior), Mystic, Archer, Slayer, Zerker.

I've heard some interesting stories about adding a group member back if someone drops as well. The system doesn't seem to recognize the warrior as a tank past the initial joining of the dungeon.
