[BG] Premade vs PuG needs to stop

NOW.

This is not fun for those who solo queue, and in the long run won't be fun for the statics either, once they've finished farming their gear.

Sometimes it's so bad that two or three premades get in one team against a PuG. I mean...what?

Seriously, EME please change this ASAP, not three months later once you've 'analyzed your data'.

I think separate PUGs from premade should be canceled. I do not see anything wrong with PUG vs Premade. Is Starcraft 2 whole league work this way and because of this no care about lamers SC2 keep hight quality and skillfull gameplay.

That is is one of the bigger flaw of Tera - lack of true PvP. Lack of competition between players and benefits from skill and ability to organisation. All the time game just promote solo, individuals, lazy and unskilled players.

The difference between SC2 and TERA is that SC2 has brackets so like skilled players are matched and put up against like skilled players. Currently TERA does not have this, and would cause lots of problems for both sides, the premades and the pugs.

Let me guess...you're in one of the premades facerolling every undegeared, disorganzed pug and enjoying it right?

You may not believe this now, but once the novelty wears out of pwning n00bs all day you will soon get very sick of the game. Wouldn't it be more fun to play against other players with similar skill and gear?

Lack of competition between players

You contradicted yourself pretty badly here. You complain about lack of competition yet you want to continue to play against pugs?

I think you're honestly being a tad unrealistic. With how bad point earnings are cut for 15 vs 15 and how you basically need good gear to be even a bit competitive in 15 vs 15 means long ques, and if parties are removed from pug BG's, long as hell amount of time until you can realistically group with friends and compete.

I mean, losing a pug match nets you as many points as winning a 15 vs 15. So trying to farm your gear by 15 vs 15 matches is going to take you twice as long as someone losing every single time in a pug and splitting to yet another que that allows 5 mans isn't a good option either. So they have to allow grouping with friends in some form or this kills BG's off for those wanting to group with a small group of friends.

Now, if we were to come to some happy medium like say. Limiting premade parties to 3 or 4 for queing, then there may be something. I've seen it work in shooter games that did 15 vs 15 pugs to limit any advantage they could have. The likelyhood of a team being filled with all 3 or 4 man parties without the other team having any is very low, unless the matching system is literally broken to stack parties.

That way, both teams will likely have the same advantage of organization to some degree on their team and those of us who want to play with friends aren't completely screwed.

I agree and I've shouted in Global and LFG

All the scrub guilds or players who are either afraid of q'n in as a 15vs15 premade should be penalized for q'n in the pug runs.

sorry it doesn't show any skill that premades in TS can plow through pugs and farm all day like that. Once you guys are done with all your gear points I promise you will be QQ'n.

No one wants to do OWPVP atm bc of this factor of unbalanced gear progression in the game. All PVP is promoting is the ppl who can stay online all day bc they have no life or job.

If pugs face higher standards after time became no pugs - hight standards forcing people to raise them skill and organisation.

Issue here there is no way for people who want competition. Premade 15 vs 15 give much less income. While whole BG is just gear grind...

I've mentioned this to a few around VoT but I'll say it here as well.

There needs to be a third queue option for Battlegrounds. This option requires a five person party and will pair you up only with other five person parties. This will be much more traveled than the 15-man option that currently exists.

The queue we have now would then be changed to accept parties of at most three people, or perhaps only two.

I feel this would create an even playing field for pugs, as well as giving people that may want a more structured and challenging BG the ability to queue for it more often. Let's face it, trying to field a constant 15-man premade and hoping someone else is doing the same all throughout the day is rough.

In every legitimate sport from baseball to bowling to golf, there are divisions, handicapping, and other mechanisms to keep the game competitive between roughly equally skilled players. Without that it becomes a massacre which is no fun for anyone.

I think some of you guys have misunderstood my intentions. I never said people should be forming 15-man raids which yields very few points even for a win. Sorry I didn't make my post more clear.

THIS is exactly what I was referring to. 5-man premade + 10 PuGs vs 5-man premade + 10 PuGs. Games would be a lot less lopsided than they currently are with the usual 5-man premade vs 15 pugs.

The queue we have now would then be changed to accept parties of at most three people, or perhaps only two.

Great idea. I personally think two would be a lot better as 2 really good and geared players have less influence over the outcome of the BG than 3 players.

At the moment when I see a good 5-man premade I know a full pug doesn't have a chance in hell, but if it's only 2 players I know we would have a fighting chance.
