BIG PROBLEMS WITH THE PVP SYSTEM

Hi, I am writing this thread to address some of my concerns for the outlaw system.

as it stands right now the outlaw causes most people to run around unflaged and only engage outlaws. Even people who WANT to pvp and who go out into the open world LOOKING FOR PVP end up hiding flagged out of fear of getting zerged for being the only one red.

What we have ended up seeing on VoT is The largest groups of people will stay unflagged and team up to hunt small packs or solo outlaws.

people who are just looking to PVP
Just LIKE the people in the ZERG
who are also there TO PVP

so if everyone is there to PVP why is everyone not PVP flagged??
wouldn't it be more interesting if it was a true free for all?
the largest groups would clash and smaller parties would be able to join the fray without fear of being singled out for having red names.
it would encourage large scale teamplay as allied guilds would have to actively work not to harm each other.

right now "pvp" is an enourmous multi guild zerg of unflagged people (that are there TO PVP) talking trash to a small party of flagged people that have been forced into a safe zone (once again there TO PVP)

FURTHERMORE:
players trying to muster a flagged group to fight an unflagged zerg face severe disadvantages.
allied outlawed parties cannot cross heal each other (carebear zergs can)
allied outlawed parties are subjected to FF(carebear zergs arent)
also players coming across the battle are far more likely to remain unflagged and join in attacking the outlaw parties.
~!the key thing here is that this decision is not based on friendship or any social connection only fear!(sucking the community out of OWPVP)~

PLEASE implement a FFA pvp System in which all players can attack any other player besides guild and party members at all times. (safe zones excluded).
Make all names white as to not imply threat.
reserve red names for infamied players.

battlegrounds arent realy what im looking for,
id like to make use of this beatiful open world for pvp,
but currently that is immpossible dude to the reasons i listed above.

it is a shame really when the fix is so easy.

ALL PEOPLE ATTACKABLE OUTSIDE SAFEZONES ALL THE TIME (excluding party and guild members)

but then the questing bypasster would be flagged as well, and would die because of it and have a bad day :<

But I agree about the outlaw system needing a little bit of looking into. That sounds insanely ridiculous.

yes solo questers could be attacked, just like they can be now.
the difference would be

if they were to choose to flag to fight another person who was stealing a spawn from then they would not then be automatically zerged because of the color of their name.

what i would like to see is pvp based on RESOURCES AND DIPLOMACY

not oh look red kill.

Umm...Serii...

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but what I'm hearing you say is that the pvp isn't free-for-all because the people who have been pvp'ing are 'forced' to hide because other people are going to pvp them. And these other people have -voluntarily- banded together to cause this pvp. How in the name of GOD is that not Free for All? Is it because that little red marker makes you stand out a bit? Doesn't change the fact that it's free for all. It just means people eventually get tired of your crap and give it back, and suddenly you can't hang with that anymore.

I always find these posts funny. They always claim that the outlaw system ruins world pvp, yet all successful open world pvp game has something similar or even more punishing. UO, Lineage, EvE darkfall, all have lots of world pvp, yet all have punishment much more severe than the outlaw system here.

first off this thread has nothing to do with ganking.

second.
my problem is the the people trying to "pvp" me arent flagged for pvp so anyone that joins the fight will naturally be on the unflagged side.

i think that players should choose sides based on their own feelings and guild relationships instead of just hiding unflagged because its easier.

and until the outlaw system is changed that is all you will see.

right now there is no incentive in the game to engage in pvp
the only incentive is to sit in a carebear zerg.
