Bad Timing for Server maint.

With Diablo 3 just released do you really want to give any of your users (the players) a chance to go play it? Server maintenance, although only 30minutes is more than enough time for everyone to put down Tera and go play D3. Sure it might just be to kill some time until Tera gets back up, but chances are alot of people who are still online won't be coming back right away.

More space for me to do what i need. dont know why youre trying to tell EME when to do server maintenance.

they do it at this time as a courtesy to players because the majority are sleeping.

And also, [filtered] needs fixed, so [filtered] gets fixed. Get over it.

I read this thread then laughed, because just last night I said it was a great idea for them to do maintenance while D3 launched.

This launch / maint gives people that are complaining with no constructive input, people that genuinely don't like the game but can't get off of our forums, and people that have just been using this game as a tie over until D3 an opportunity to take a nice quiet exit stage Diablo 3.

Now we get to see the serious number of subscriptions, and see where this game stands. If it's bad, well that's more motivation for Bluehole / EME to do better. If the numbers are good, could give the companies some breathing room to take time in hopefully developing good content.

I was thinking the exact same thing OP. When the servers were going down for maintenance, chat was filled with people saying that they would go play Diablo III to fill the time. Would it have made that much of a difference.. who knows? I"ll tell you what I would have done though...

I would have planned the maintenance for the hour prior to Diablo III's launch to ensure they would be lining up to login. Every MMO I've ever seen crashes at release, and while they are trying to get the servers up and running, TERA's maintenance would be finishing up and people would be so desperate just to play anything... They would then have TERA. The End.

With the giant scam Blizzard has going forcing players to pay$20-$50 for vanity and automated server actions I encourage boycotting them to everyone.

They're all about the money and for the most part could care less about the problems in their games.

After a few big patchs to Diablo 3 they'll cease to care about keeping up with cheating/scamming and PvP balance because its not a monthly sub game.

TBH I feel the only reason they even half assed the game together was the high demand for a D2 sequel and they knew it would be a huge buyout on release.
