Bigger BAMs

While many of the World Bosses in the game are unique looking and pretty cool to fight, I'm a bit disappointed by the scale of things. I've seen images (often drawn) of characters fighting Dracoloths the size of a three or four story building, I'm sure by now we've all seen the Sky Whale (even if only on the loading screens or youtube), however nowhere in the game do we actually get to encounter things like these to actually fight. I came into TERA originally because the BAM fights reminded me of Monster Hunter (one of my all time favorite games) and while many of them are exactly like fights from said game, I find that the simple fact that they are all exactly the same scale a little lackluster in my opinion.

One thing I would love to see in TERA are bigger and badder world bosses, more unique ones that stand out. Something so big the ground trembles around it when it walks and you can see it from far away towering over everything else. I'd love to walk through a zone and see a giant monster that just strikes fear in you as you ride passed it, something on the scale of the Sky Whale perhaps if not maybe a little smaller. Even having these be events that require groups of players to defeat would be fine by me.

Even if we never get anything quite that grand, I'd settle for simply having some BAMs that were at least a little larger, having every BAM roughly the same size just seems kind of dull.

Only read thread topic. I support this thread. I want to go whale hunting. [filtered] fund it.

If your deduction is correct, why do I fight a basilisk bam at level 31 maybe 4x the size of my character, and a dragon or weird alien mother [filtered] at level 58 maybe 15x the size of my character..?

Or are you simply insisting on them basically making Bams like that reaper that rolled around Hellfire Penninsula or w/e.

Bigger bosses would be interesting, but then you would run into the ridiculous "Giant toe battle" scenario, which is just plain bad.

I'm not sure you guys grasp the scale of a sky whale or those glowing birds in north shara.

The biggest thing you could reasonably expect EME to implement for solo content would probably still be only about 1/10th the size of the sky whale. Anything bigger would likely have to be confined to an instance and fought with a group as a dungeon encounter.

Play Shadow of the Colossus. Or EQ1 raid were you are hitting the toe of something you never fully see.

Although theoretically it sounds great, in actuality, it comes out just as people have said, a group gathered around swinging in the vague direction of the creatures feat or tail.

I personally think the fact that everything at later levels has to be 10 feet plus tall is getting a bit worn out. It detracts from the BAM's when every non-minion mob you fight is towering over you. Even the devas are giants for some reason. I am wondering why the castanics shrunk so much when they seperated from their cousins.

Look up Raviente or Jhen Mohran from Monster Hunter and how they're fought.

Also... this would uh kind of be aggravating as hell for tanks and melee dps. I don't see how they could have tells and do something like this (his toe slightly shifts to the left for attack 1, shifts even more to the left for attack 2, and shifts to the right for attack 3...).
