Bought the game on release day, hopped in and spent the next week playing casually and getting myself up to 29...Then the rest of my time until now has been spent occasionally logging in and crawling my way to 32.
Is this a common occurrence, or is it just my class choice of Lancer that's led me to being bored to death and unable to play longer than 30 minutes? Is it maybe the prospect that there's nothing to do at max level?
What the hell am I fighting for, am I going to be even more bored when i max levels out?
What is there to look forward to? By this time in a games life; blogs and forums are usually flooded with bragging of first end-boss kills and uber drops and the woes of unbalanced PvP, But this game seems to lack any of that.
Lancers are the most "boring" solo class. I personally don't think so, but opinions right?
Anyway, should've picked a different class.
Pull through it. If you ever had a hobby of any kind then you'd know that even sometimes you'd get bored of it. I used to play pokemon cards back in the day. Constantly building new decks and trying out different strategies against different people. Some worked and some didn't. It was annoying and boring to build something new from scratch, but when I finished, it was fun at the end when I toppled other players. I assure you, When you get there, it will be fun. If not take a break, come back in a month and ask us how the game is doing and we will respond. Hopefully this inspires you!

Oh Roscuro, you're still trollin' eh?
But yeah, Lancers are not for everyone, being a fairly slow class, with relatively simple mechanics that can get repetitive very easliy.
I recommend you create an alt, a Slayer, or Warrior if you still want to tank, and alternate between the two classes. This is probably the best way to stave off the boredom, with Slayers and Warriors being in my opinion two of the most fun classes to play.
The nice thing about Tera is that every class plays completely differently, so you really will have a completely different experience if ya change your class.
I would suggest trying out the different classes before you quit, I've used most of the classes and I find slayer & sorc to be a fun playstyle (they're both only in their 20's though)
My main is a mystic, and it has been pretty fun -- starting to get bit old at 58, but a break from it with some of these alt classes will fix that in no time.
I've had fun trying out all the different combat systems.
Do you guys see a trend here? I too am leveling a lancer. I too am bored at around level 30+
Reroll more exciting class (dps)
Group queues 3-4will hours due to lack of tanks (lancers)
See where this is going?
Not good.....
