I ran BOL last night with a PUG. We killed both bosses, but I never saw a loot window come up to roll on anything. I couldnt find the items in my inventory, and I didnt see anything in any of the log tabs. However, I know on both occassions blue items did drop and were taken by my party mates.

So, how do boss drops work? Are items only able to be rolled on by classes that can use them? Is that why I wasnt seeing them? Shouldnt I be seeing something in my log about what members have looted?

You can change loot options while party leader to class only. Otherwise, its round robin by default I believe.

If you haven't changed your tab options, what party member pick up should appear in the party chat tab.

You should, but would need to see your chat tab settings as Ello stated above.

The default setting for rolling on items is set for Superior for some reason. Blues are round robin. Until the default setting is changed by EME to Rare (which is should be! Just as class roll restricted should be too....!!!), the Party Leader will need to make this change.

You can check what the settings are by hovering over the red ribbon above/below your health bar when you are in a party.

I agree that the defaults are rather odd. It would also be nice if the players could set their own defaults, as it is you need to re-set up the loot options every time you form a party. The main advice being that for now, ask the party leader to please check on how the loot is being distributed after you all group up.
