Bots cause the failure in Korea, will that be stopped this time?

I really want this game to succeed, I really want this game to be good, and the only thing that keeps me from pre-order are the articles about the failure of Tera on the Asian market, This game looks amazing and I believe is just what I was waiting to play for the next few years as my new favorite mmo. but no matter how good the game is, it will be ruined if cheater are allowed again like in Korea.

There are reports about the massive flow of bots farming the game making it impossible to play for real gamers in the Asian version, according to the articles from gaming websites this was the downfall of Tera on the Asian market, please tell me that this is going to be addressed in time when the game releases,

I would love to pre-order and start playing at launch, but I don't want to see it fail after 6 months yes again like the Asian market.

I'm sure nobody wants this to happen, but what will be done to prevent the bots grinding the monsters keeping the players from having some fun?.

Most of the MMOs over there suffer from bottin issues. The game is not a failure in Korea, it's just not as successful as the competition. It's still in korea's top 10 played games. Stop getting your info from [filtered] sites.

The preventative systems used by Hangame are different than the ones used by En Masse Entertainment. We don't know what EME is using, only that it is not what Hangame is using. We have Patrick Wyatt, a respected industry veteran and leader in that particular field, who has given presentations on the topic at GDC.

While some will undoubtedly appear, we're in better hands than most MMOs.

I have to agree with Kimera on this topic. Not necessarily on the popularity level of Tera in Korea, but on the very real issue of bots. Bots did a great deal of damage to the enjoyment of Aion when I first gave that game a try.

I too want to see Tera succeed and thrive and know how detrimental bots can be to achieving that end. So I too hope that Tera monitors botting very seriously.

If you're getting your info from mmosite, you're doing something incredibly wrong and wasting your valuable time surfing that web.

I'll never forgive NCSoft for taking money to allow RMT companies have their way with the Aion...

If you didn't know, bots killed Aion. Bots LITERALLY choked out questing areas. There were roving PACKS of bots that would steal kills out from under you and get the loot drop as a result.

And players left Aion in DROVES as a result.

Basically, yeah, either EME keeps this game from the clutches of the RMT companies or they will DESTROY it, just like they did with Aion.

I remember Aion bots... Especially the multi boxing bots XD.
Got like a whole party of glads chanters and priests all lined up following the exact same path stacking and mobing the whole area...

Ahh.. good ol' NCFail.
