Aug/sept is not late summer, its more Fall, but if it really will not come out till then I really think people will be done with Tera and just forget about it, move on to greater and better games.

August/September is when Knox said battlegrounds would be hopefully released. HOPEFULLY

Once GW2 is released, expect TERA's numbers to drop significantly like what D3 did.

Umm technically fall isn't until the 21st of September so unless release is after that date then they will be on schedule. Also, what better game is going to be released any time soon?

You may say GW2 but then let me ask what will be the better game once Tera acquires a good enough amount of content?

there's no doubt Tera has one of the best templates for a mmo. If they don't have the creativity and innovation to make it flourish though then there's no point. Add a decent BG system and OWPvP zones with objective based capture-able landmarks(server or guild owned) that are accessible to PvE servers also and it'll pick up I'm sure. I'd die for some castle sieges. This game needs to focus far more on PvP.. otherwise there's no point in running dungeons 200x, no true motivation really, because even if you have perfect gear. It's still utterly pointless if you can't use it.

I would love to point out that generally the PvP crowd does not keep the game afloat it is the PvE crowd that does that, and considering this is also a Korean game where PvP is carries the same shame as murdering a small child PvP content will be slow to release.

PvE crowd? as in people on PvE servers, or PvE crowd that only wants to sit and farm dungeons all day and craft, not wanting to do BGs, GvG, or any sort of PvP activity that is not without their consent and non-intrusive to their PvE activities? I can assure you many of those on PvE servers would love to PvP when they want to. The combat system makes PvP far better than any other game with proper balance. I highly doubt PvE crowd is going to be entertained by running FoK and BT over and over again until their eyes bleed. The next dungeons released? The same thing, over and over again until their eyes bleed. Sometimes it's nice to have a break and just kill some kids. It's funny since L2 is from Korea and one of the most PvP heavy games on the MMO market.

i don't think he's saying that there should be no PvE content but currently there is a lot more PvE than PvP that needs work. Even PvE'er want some small type of pvp otherwise you wouldn't of gotten GvG (which is more OW than any other of the pvp options).

I didn't get the "murdering small children" statement so i'm going to leave that one alone.

needs more PvE content or people wouldn't be playing to begin with if they didn't like PvE also. If they're just playing to PvP then there's tons of other games that satisfy that so idk why people like that would be here. What your game caters to defines what keep it afloat yeah if its mostly PvE based PvErs will keep it afloat. Then you have mmos like Eve which thrive on PvP.

It's fairy obvious there is a large enough player base right now in the PvP community that would jump to Tera if it actually provided what they wanted. It's perfectly possible also to support the PvE and PvP community as well while not having them interfere with each other. That's what's beautiful about server types and zoning.

If ffxiv 2.0 is anywhere good as it sounds compared to the launch, imagine if Tera did a 2.0. That is what it needs and what it isn't going to get sadly.
